We can't blame the CPU. Opening Chrome settings is enough to trigger this behavior and after waiting forever it doesn't resolve itself. Freezing the compupter. Thats not normal.

Unfortunatly the moment I try to do anything such as open settings in this browser running XP one of the chrome processes in its tree pegs my cpu to 98% making it unusable. I can kill it and chrom will continue to run but if i try anything it comes back.0

latest mypal on XP SP3, with GTX 960 latest driver, BSOD on youtube with hardware acceleration enabled on my system.

So I tried it and its very cool, my only gripe is that it was using a lot of CPU like 10% or somthing on a Thinkpad T61P . If there was some lightwieght version I would consider using it.

I have this ongoing issue with all the 360 browsers I've tried and the download manager not clearing the file history properly. It could be user error I guess. Does anyone know which files I need to delete to get rid of these orphaned recently downloaded files that wont delete and keep coming back afterwards.

which roytam browser is least laggy. The ones I've tested just chug even on moderately powerful enough hardware.

If you want to just play games that run on it, its perfectly usable forever as long as theres hardware availible to run on.

I might try this. Thx for sharing. I also looked for another solution same as you being unsatisfied and came to my own conclusion that Real VNC enterprise worked better than anything else I tired. 4.4 and I beleive 4.5 client is working on 98se. The mirror Driver installed on the server it runs smooth like hot butter. You get all the copy and paste functionality and I can just use whatever browser I want to on the server with zero compatibility issues. It's quite a bit better than using RDP normally, though I realize your way of doing it is not. All other ways of doing things, I lose a lot of modern functionality.

it's a fun upgrade. It doesn't make my games run any better though. I don't like the fact that I need GDI updates, explorer updates etc to use it. if it could of just ran on vanillia windows with no updates and have full functionaty it would of been a better program. I get that it can run, but you dosen't fully work with all features.

it is possible to install tablet PC components on any pc running any version of 32bit XP, but I have never tried to install them on 2003 server x64/XPx64. Theres a chance it could work becasue some of it runs on .net 1.0, then again the way Tablet input works on XP might be incompatibile. I probably wont test it because I can't think of a valid reason to try it.

no clue what a search colum is but i always use the little installer called dogdestroyer that kills the dog and gives you the windows 2000 search in xp. it doesnt just preconfig advanced options it gets rid of that too.

I want to be able to install this on XP somhow. I thought that I vaugly remembered I had seen it done before or I was able to find a installer for it once. I can't seem to make any sense from that now. Could it be possible to copy it from my 2003 server disc and run it on XP. IE8 and IE updates are pointless and Isn't somthing I'm looking for. Lock IE down as much as possible and just don't use it, It's useless anyways.

much appreciated. Yes right click is a work around. I was talking about when I highlight a word on a web page a built in popup ask if you want to search or copy. If you click search it goes to some 360 seach. I'm using humming owls 12 version, which ever version I got from here.

Any way to change this?? If I go some web page any. Then I press mouse down on a word in the text to high light then right click highligted word and do search, It goes to 360 seach not google.

It doesn't make a difference what OS or browser I use I can't see pages of threads other than the 1st page. Clicking next page or last page thread is always blank.

Those are the best cards for pure DOS. Don't expect amazing windows performance. There are plenty of other cards. This page here shows VESA compatibility benchmarks and tests.
