  1. A sample of my code, for reference, if needed. If not, shift-delete it away... HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",01,,"d:\macromedia\authorware\setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",02,,"d:\macromedia\contribute\Setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",03,,"d:\macromedia\dreamweavermx\setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",04,,"pskill iexplore.exe" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",05,,"d:\macromedia\fireworksmx\setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",07,,"d:\macromedia\freehandmx\setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",09,,"regedit /s d:\macromedia\settings1.reg" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",10,,"regedit /s d:\macromedia\settings2.reg" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",11,,"d:\macromedia\update\contribute\setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",12,,"d:\macromedia\update\dreamweaver\setup.exe /S" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",13,,"d:\macromedia\update\fireworks\setup.exe /silent" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",14,,"pskill iexplore.exe" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",16,,"d:\macromedia\update\flashpaper\setup.exe /silent" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",17,,"d:\macromedia\macromedia1.exe" HKLM,"%RunOnceEx%\install06",17,,"d:\macromedia\macromedia2.exe"
  2. Not quite an unattended install but this is what I did: 1. Installed it to a location on my D drive, which contains my software. Separate 80GB drive from my C drive. 2. Started the program and entered the registrationm code. 3. No more prompting for registration when I need to reinstall my OS. No registry entries are needed. I uses this set up with several of my applications, to include WinZip, Nero, and Ad-Aware SE.
  3. Anyone got a silent switch for Video Cleaner 5.1? It uses the Thraex Installer, which I tried to pull apart looking for the switch. Even went as far as trying to IExpress it, but no dice.
  4. 19-8 Seems the Yankee fans come out of the woodwork every year... At least we got ours from the Yanks. 2001, D-Backs win 4-3. And dispels the notion that Rivera is unhuman...
  5. Each hotfix identified on WindowsUpdate will have a Details link for it. It will take you to the article that talks about the patch. You can download it from there.
  6. No, I understood what you were saying. The .txt file will need to be updated, that's for sure, unless you use one locally. I prefer to use one hosted on my web server.
  7. Why? Download the hotfix, check the switches, and place them in the right folder. Create the CD and run it VMWare/VirtualPC. For XP SP1, remove the previous IE Cum update and replace it with the new one. For SP2, it's a no-brainer.
  8. Works in VMWare and on an active machine. No updates reported from Windows Update. Good work on RyanVM's part.
  9. It should work with no problems. If you have the HighMAT patch, remove it from XPCREATE and do not have the hotfix download set to run. I am testing it now in VMWare, and I'll let you know how it goes. In XPCREATE.INI, change the following: DLAUTO=YES to DLAUTO=NO
  10. Replace www.msfn.org with www.google.com.
  11. Got it working. Never mind...
  12. Seems I can't get XPCREATE to merge MP10. I have the executable in the SVC-WMP folder, named as it appears here. When running in VMWare, it still shows version 9. I'm trying this out on XP with SP2, running in VMWare. Attached is a copy of my log files. LOGFILES.CAB
  13. It works when slipping it outside of XPCREATE. Thenks for that info, RB.
  14. If you're referring to the service pack, and running Windows 2000, it will not work. You must slip the SP on a system running XP.

  16. Your Office was installed from an admin install point. The error message just reminds you of that fact. If you need to download and install an Office patch, go to the Office Resource Kit, as referenced in the error message. You can use that fullfile version to update the admin install point.
  17. Try them both with /Q:A /R:N. Here's some switch info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;810232
  18. Read this article and make sure it is the opposite of disabling it. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=121007
  19. EULA [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\6.0\AdobeViewer] @="" "TrustedMode"=dword:00000000 "EULA"=dword:00000001 Still looking for the Media Player one...
  20. Not unless the HFLISTS file has been updated. This is the list XPCREATE uses to download the hotifxes and such.
  21. Don't put the SP2 file in the SPACKS folder.
  22. T-39 should be your hardware portion of the setup. CMDLINES.TXT isn't called until T-12.
  23. Try disabling the download option in xpcreate.ini. I had the same problem, and that was my fix. There are no hotfixes/updates out for SP2 now. Also, remove the SP1 file from SPACKS, if it is there.
  24. Hey, GM, take your time. We'll always be here for a new release of XPCREATE. Never a shortage of testers.
