This theme works great with Win10 (x64)14393 and AeroGlass rs1-14393-669-x64 release and UxThemeSignatureBypass64.dll.
If you love the Win7 theme, you'll love this one.
    Kudos to Sagorpirbd !!!

BTW, AeroGlass rs1-14393-669-x64 release has been working great for me.

Can you show a screenshot with DWM regedit setting, so that i can see how its look like on yours setup? Also what about modern apps with this theme applied?

  2. Than it's really weird for you to have blur on taskbar because as BigMuscle's link said:

It will apply glass effect only on the regions which are marked to have blur behind. It does not alter any region behaviour on its own. If some application wants to have glass effect somewhere, it must enable it explicitely. The taskbar belongs to Windows Explorer shell, thus you must enable blur behind on your own by calling DWM API function DwmEnableBlurBehindWindow. Blur effect will also apply tint of glass color.

So, there must by some other tool that calls that dwm DwmEnableBlurBehindWindow function on your system and as a result you have blur in taskbar. In my opinion..

  3. Hi to all!

I use aeroglass on all my Win 8,10 systems and i have to say that  its an amazing product!

The only one issue i have on my work laptop its memory usage for dwm proccess is constanly growing during uptime.

For example now its use 50 MB Ram and 100 Mb VRAM and this values keeps go higher.

Can someone explain how can i debug this issue?

Its Core i3 based laptop with Intel HD Graphics.

Now i run aeroglass 1.4.1 but this situation observed on other versions too..

Ah, I think you mean the visual difference because of the slight light colored gradient at the top of the title bar.

Yes, that gradient makes windows more 3d-like.

NoelC, this is atlas and layout files for theme i am using on my Win10 setup(its created by Kankipappa, many thanks to him for sharing his work!!)..It will by great if you find some time and take a look on this theme!!

I use Classic Shell on Windows 10. For Windows 10 it uses blur for taskbar from Windows 10 own blur. It doesn't use aeroglass blur. That why using aeroglass tools has no effect on the taskbar. Some people on here have mentioned how to get taskbar blur from aeroglass working.

And i finally figured out how to achieved that!

I use SetWindowCompositionAttribute and finally get old taskbar blur style.

While it doesn't look too distracting, you idea sounds good, the captions could be tweaked down a touch.

I tried cutting a single row of pixels off the top of each of the caption button fills. I'm out of time and can't test it myself just now, though... See how this works for you...

Excuse me but, have you taken a closer look into the photo album I shared? I gave examples of different color intensity levels (0%, 50% and 100%) to see how they affect the taskbar. I also intended to show the pictures with and without StartIsBack so you see that StartIsBack IS NEEDED. You also NEED to configure SIB by ticking "Use custom taskbar coloring" in Appearance section and move the corresponding slider to somewhere around 25% for example and this is also shown in the photo album.

Yes i have. I changing color intenisty slider position with having SIB "custom taskbar coloring" setting as on yours screen. No effect for the taskbar. I will show you all needed screenshots when i will be at home with my Win10 machine.

Nothing to read about really. Just make a shortcut with this location:

    %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL desk.cpl,Advanced,@Advanced

    Thanks for hint!

  8.

Taskbar should be set to use brighter color so color intensity can be visually noticeable. Setting color intensity without brighter taskbar will make very small difference that can go unnoticed. Without setting both, you would not see the blur effect because it is already almost opaque and dark.

I clearly understand that. But my problem is this:

intensity slider affect only windows borders but not taskbar itself

Personalization: Either using personalization utility from winaero or the hidden built-in one (to set color intensity to 0%).

Can you give me a link where i can read about how to enable built-in personalization?

And thanks again for detailed information!!

  9. No magic. Neither one of these system has taskbar blur by default thus it only depends which technique you used to enable it.

Its Classic Shell in both systems.

I can you show some screenshots to demonstrate this magic.

..taken from my win 8.1 system..

in win 10 this slider doesnt change anything on taskbar..
