  1. Usually an original PC with Windows XP has a low amount of RAM. And using the Swap always with the original HD is inefficient. Better to use browsers that consume little RAM. The single process certainly consumes less RAM than the multiprocess. It would be interesting to check if with your Chrome-based browsers it is possible to force the single process without crashing: https://peter.sh/experiments/chromium-command-line-switches/ --single-process Related: --process-per-site --process-per-tab
  2. Can you explain better? The consumption of RAM with the same number of open tabs as it is higher?

  4. I read the topics in their browser forum but I didn't find any info for adblockers. https://bbs.360.cn/forum-142-1.html Many problems instead of slow navigation, home page changed .............. If no other user, apart from Win32, wants to try to reduce unwanted connections, wouldn't it be better to use Yandex Browser v17.4.1.1026 (Chromium 58) which installs and also works with Windows XP?
  5. You tried with other Adblocks? Even if uMatrix is working it could allow you to block unwanted connections. https://kb.digital-detective.net/display/BF/360+Speed+(Extreme)+Browser
  6. I note that ED_SIn with XP has installed UBO. Set "I'm an advanced user" Try it yourself and check the connections and in the case block them. P.S. If a website is not blocked by lists, use the global lock option of UBO.
  7. Have you tried using other versions of UBO? https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases
  8. It is interesting to note how it is possible, contrary to what is reported: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2 insert rules for New Moon and MailNews but only thanks to the presence of the "dectect Key" rule referring to Firefox or Thunderbird. Uninstalling Firefox and Thunderbird is possible. But it is necessary not to remove the Mozilla/Thunderbird folder in %AppData%. Another possibility is the language of the OS. My OS is in Italian and the rules work. Rules for Interlink MailNews on Windows XP (Work if Thunderbird is installed): [Sessione ] Section=Interlink MailNews Detect1=HKLM\Software\Binary Outcast\Interlink Detect2=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Thunderbird Default=true FileKey1=%AppData%\Binary Outcast\Interlink\Profiles\*|session.json;sessionCheckpoints.json [Cache Internet ] Section=Interlink MailNews Detect1=HKLM\Software\Binary Outcast\Interlink Detect2=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Thunderbird Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Binary Outcast\Interlink\Profiles\*\cache2\entries|*.* [DOM Store *] Section=Interlink MailNews Detect2=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Thunderbird Detect1=HKLM\Software\Binary Outcast\Interlink Default=false FileKey1=%AppData%\Binary Outcast\Interlink\Profiles\*|webappsstore.sqlite [Startup Cache *] Section=Interlink MailNews Detect2=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Thunderbird Detect1=HKLM\Software\Binary Outcast\Interlink Default=false FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Binary Outcast\Interlink\Profiles\*\startupCache|*.* _______________________________________________________________ Rules for New Moon on Windows XP (Work if Firefox is installed) : [Mozilla DOM Store *] LangSecRef=3026 Detect1=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*|webappsstore.sqlite FileKey2=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*|webappsstore.sqlite [Mozilla Startup Cache *] LangSecRef=3026 Detect1=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*\startupCache|*.* FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\startupCache|*.* [Alternate Services *] LangSecRef=3026 Detect1=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*|AlternateServices.txt FileKey2=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*|AlternateServices.txt [Content Preferences *] LangSecRef=3026 Detect1=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\*|content-prefs.sqlite FileKey2=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*|content-prefs.sqlite [Cookies and HSTS Cookies *] LangSecRef=3026 Detect1=HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Pale Moon DetectFile=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox Default=False Warning=This will delete all cookies at once. 9. Have you tried to check if the unwanted connections are reduced with uBlock Origin? My connections with UBO + Noscript are reduced to 1. Is it possible to block any unwanted connections of 360 Extreme Explorer via HOSTS file? In this case it would be interesting to have a list.
  10. I uninstalled Firefox 52 ESR. Besides I.E.8 my only browser is New Moon 28.
  11. Portable version (Unofficial?): https://www.upload.ee/files/9892868/360Chrome_11.0.2052.7z.html The language is not English.

  13. I personally use the ver. 1.12.1.90. for the reason given in some posts above. Use custom rules. I have included various softwares in the Shields list. If you run the Exploit Test Tool with MBAE, only 8/23 tests have failed. DEP * Rop - System () in msvrt Rop -Win Exec via anti-detour Heap Spray 3 Hollow process URLMon URLMon 2 URL Mon 3 These 8 tests can be passed thanks to the Novirusthanks OSArmor Anti-Exploit protection. These 2 softwares installed together therefore guarantee excellent protection. * = My DEP is Alway on for all services and all softwares.
  14. Which MSFN member has MailNews installed besides me?
  15. The latest version of MBAE is 1.13.1.63.
  16. In terms of Security it is certain that Chrome 360 is more secure than Chrome49. For Privacy with so little data and fragmentation it is impossible to establish any conclusion. I can advise you to use Chrome360 with my privacy and security settings: Chrome --no-referrers --ssl-version-min=tls1.2 -cipher-suite-blacklist=0x002F,0x0035,0x000A,0x009C,0x009D --disable-webg Chrome://Flags Extension Content Verification - Enforce Strict Enable AppContainer Lockdown - Enabled Framebusting-requires-sameorigin-or a-user gesture - Enabled Extensions: Cookie Autodelete BP Privacy Block All Font and Glyph Detection U.B.O. Decentraleyes ScriptSafe - Only the functions described below are enabled: Block Browser Plugin Enumeration Protection from Canvas Fingerprints Block Audio Fingerprinting Block Battery Fingerprinting Block Enumeration of the Device Block Access to Canvas Font The start of each of my browsers in Windows XP is with limited rights.
  17. I added some cleaning rules to New Moon too: The rules work immediately without modification. Some of these rules are not necessary for New Moon. For example, the rule for cleaning the Telemetry. Added a customized profile for MailNews to SpeedyFox. Which is detected as Thunderbird:
  18. It is necessary to compare the 2 browsers with the values I highlighted with the arrows:
  19. Did you take a test with Chrome 49 and Chrome 360 right? And is better Chrome 360. Also check the Privacy parameters also with: https://panopticlick.eff.org/ https://browserleaks.com/ P.S. You just have to make a comparison. Don't worry about the results. To get good results with Chrome you need to act on the Peter Beverloo list command line parameters + add some specific extensions
  20. Et voilà : Session: Internet Cache: I could also insert 2 other rules that work with the version of Interlink MailNews for XP: * DOM Store * Startup Cache *** EDIT I think I leave the look highlighted in the image below: I have no idea if these rules could be beneficial. If there is any MSFN member who can explain to me.........
  21. Try running some tests with Chrome 360 and compare the results to Chrome/Chromium: http://ip-check.info/?lang=en https://www.browserscope.org/security/test https://browseraudit.com/
  22. It is clear from the poll that I opened that nobody from Interlink Mail News cares. On the other hand, I have already solved the problem with the rules I added. This discussion is just to give CCleaner (portable) + Interlink MN a more appropriate look. I have already tried to modify the instructions of Winapp2.ini but the look is not for the moment of my liking. Thank you for your considerations.
