  1. You can read this theard, it's about the taskbar blur http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/174377-windows-10-how-to-make-taskbar-get-aero/
  2. Its Classic Shell in both systems. I can you show some screenshots to demonstrate this magic. 1:http://postimg.org/image/fqrgdxbob/ 2:http://postimg.org/image/ids992oo9/ ..taken from my win 8.1 system.. in win 10 this slider doesnt change anything on taskbar.. It's normal because, in Windows 10 Classic Shell use the "modern" blur for the taskbar (the same than Action Center and default start menu)
  3. We actualy don't know when Big Muscle will realese the final version of Aero Glass. He may realese it soon You can have more informations about Aero Glass for Windows 10 here http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/173379-windows-10-development/
  4. After some testing in vm, I am able to reduce their size only with full theme and not with atlas. I can make a Windows 7 Aero visual style for 10 (or if you have an atlas you want to use, send me it and I will make a theme with it)
  5. You can make buttons images smaller and ajust sizing margins into your visual style. This makes them "visualy" smaller (in fact they continue to adapt themself to title bar height but you don't see it). I think it's also possible with .layout for atlas, I will try it in my Windows 10 vm
  6. And now Microsoft push Windows 10 directly into Windows 8.1 setup : http://www.winbeta.org/news/microsoft-now-offering-windows-10-upgrade-during-windows-81-setup-process
  7. I have found, since this update was installed on one of my PCs, that there is 4 new entry in Task Scheduler, in \Microsoft\Windows\Setup\gwx, those entry launch the GWX process when someone login on the PC, I have disabled them now. http://hpics.li/24c2d41
  8. Good Question, I don't do multi but my best guess is someone will find a way to make it work by rtm time. ~DP Other taskbars have the classe Shell_SecondaryTrayWnd but when you call the script, you must put your cursor on the second or third monitor if you want it to work
  9. Two new tweaks for Windows 10 : 1) Enable a new logon screen in Windows 10 : Enable = 1, disable = 0 @Echo OffReg Add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\TestHooks" /v "Threshold" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f 2) Enable new sound mixer : Enable = 1, disable = 0 @Echo OffReg Add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MTCUVC" /v "EnableMtcUvc" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
  10. Just an other tweak : enable desktop Windows Update on the last Windows 10 Technical Preview Use desktop Windows Update = 0, disable it = 1 @Echo OffReg Add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX" /v "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
  11. I haven't find a correct solution to use the App Bar insted of context menu when you right click but you can use space bar on your keyboard. Go to start, press space and now select the tile you want, this show the app bar for the first tile but you can select the tile you want I know that it's not a "real" solution but it works so....
  12. If you want to have the same visual style on different Windows version, you must create a visual style for every versions : if you want to have the same on 7 and 8, you must create one for 7 and one for 8. You can also importe a visual style from an older version of Windows to a newer but you must create the visual style for the older version of Windows you want to support first. At the end you will have a visual style for every version of Windows in separate archives and you can post your visual style
  13. It's normal because they don't use theme atlas glow but others in the theme ! If you want glow on ribbon windows and taskbar preview, you must use a custom theme
  14. It's normal, all ribbon windows don't use theme atlas glow but another glow in the visual style. If you want glow in ribbon windows, you must install UxStyle and use a custom theme on your system
  15. What did you do to recover the window borders, Mr. Grim? I've been working on a "faux rounded corner themeatlas" and it's coming along but I'm not getting any Aero Glass effect in the borders. -Noel Borders are define in the msstyle, the default msstyle just have 1px border. If you use any other themes with classic windows border size, they are like MrGRiM screenshot
  16. I've got a problem with multiple video adapter but not the same : when I use some apps (like java apps) DWM use all cpu resources ! I have 3 monitors : 2 on an nVidia card and the third on the Intel HD.
  17. I have also try this Technical Preview of Windows 10. First, all my tweaks work on it and my visual style also work but with some problems in jump lists. I have, first, re-enabled the start screen, so much better than start menu for me, and I have try this system on desktop and on a Surface Pro. On the surface, this os is very unusefull, you can't select options for medern apps becose a small menu with fingers..... Closing modern apps with this crapy small close button is not very usefull too. On desktop, this system just work fine, but the 2 new buttons (Search and Task view) take too much place in task bar. I have removed them with AutoHotKey, just add a script in shell:startup with that : Control, Hide, , Search, ahk_class Shell_TrayWndControl, Hide, , Task view, ahk_class Shell_TrayWndAfter, remplace start button with classic shell and those buttons will disapear. I have re-enabled hot corners with Hot Corners 2 for Windows 7 because the charm bar still exist (just do a WIN+C to use it) but all keybord storcuts from Windows 8.x (like WIN+Q and others) doesn't work at all ! This os is not realy usefull for the moment but it's a Technical Preview so they can improve all this point
  18. Ok, first, try with the 750 gB hard disk. If it work, try with the raid 0 alone. If it work with 750 gB hdd or raid 0, try with both.
  19. I have this problem too on all my Windows 8.1 systems. Unless Windows 8.0, on Windows 8.1 the hybrid boot doesn't work if an USB drive (or some other usb devices) is plugged in. If it is connected, the system doesn't shutdown or take 10 min to shutdown and the fast boot doesn't work. I think you could try to shutdown the laptop without any usb connected.
  20. I have removed those updates and the Security Update for IE 11 KB2976627 but the problem still present. I don't have any problem on Windows 7 and 8.0 for RDWeb, only on 8.1 :/ I will try to remove other updates... Microsoft have made an update for that but this break IE... Don't install this to resolve the problem http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2991509
  21. Hello all I've got a little problem with Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 since the august security update for IE : I can't use RemoteApp in the Remote Web Access ! I have to make a .rdp file for all users and it's very anoying... Why I can't use RemoteApp ? The Remote Desktop ActiveX is enable. When I login the Remote Web Access, I have all my RemoteApp software but if I click on it, they do nothing, like a dead link..... My server run Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise with SP1. The Remote Web Access work with Windows 8.0 and 7 but no on 8.1... So my queston is : what I can do to use RemoteApp without removing updates ? Maybe a tweak or somethings to overcome that ?
  22. Bigmuscle Aero Glass just work fine with UxTheme Patcher, I use both on my PCs and I never had any problem with this
  23. Thanks, this work for screen corners but I don't realy use this tweak because it's not realy practical after to use charm bar
  24. Ok thanks, I will try it now EDIT : Thanks Jaclaz, this tweak work !
