  1. But that is what makes windows 10 good (it motivated you to make something new).
  2. You cant, unless you disable colored titlebars.
  3. Weird, link works for me. If SENS service is disabled I get after reboot this Error for some reason: Couldn't Complete Changes., Undoing changes. Don’t turn off your computer.
  4. to answer my questions: 1) SENS and TrustedInstaller services are required for DISM to work 2) its possible to do components removal without install_wim_tweak and .net requirement: http://www.datafilehost.com/d/561d8ee3
  5. weird, links redirecting to datafilehost for some reason when clicked, but works if copied manually...
  6. already admin and uac disabled. maybe some disabled service or tweak is causing problem. I cant seem to find reason (my tweaks: www.solidfiles.com/d/146b8ff9ae also how to do what install_wim_tweak does without .net requirement? will this work? (link: www.solidfiles.com/d/7d75656dd7
  7. Does install_wim_tweak uses dism and pkgmgr for component removal? it always fails for me. What services dism requires to be running in order to remove components?
  8. for me its simple: just install os, disable everything possible that i rarely or never use and until next os reinstallation (usually after 2 years) no any os changes like installing updates or upgrades.
  9. i have legacy boot but wanted to play with uefi little. i already deleted msr and recovery partitions and windows still boots, so it looks that only efi partition is required.
  10. i havent tried what happens when changing only that key, but with all other tweaks i use and local account i dont get any error message on logon (Windows 10 enterprise Current Branch)
  11. deleting efi partition is not problem, but i thought that on gpt is also possible like with system reserved partition removal on mbr to move boot files to windows drive and make it read boot files from windows partition, which is not case.
  12. I just dont want to have extra partitions on hard disk, no matter how small they are. I already know about gdisk, but dont exactly know how to use it to remove efi partition.
  13. How to move boot files from EFI System partition to C: drive so that i can delete EFI partition? or is it not possible?

  15. task scheduler was disabled around 3 years ago on my windows 7 and i never noticed any problem
  16. i am not using action and notification center, i am not using windows update since i dont need unstable system, and i am currently using settings app just to capture registry changes for settings i change Forgot to mention about disabling sihost.exe, i noticed that disabling it breaks Show Desktop button so something like this will be needed for Show desktop to work with sihost disabled: #NoEnv ; #NoTrayIcon ; SetBatchLines -1ListLines OffSendMode InputSetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir%SetWinDelay, -1SetTitleMatchMode, 3line := 0~LButton:: MouseGetPos,,,, control If ( control == "TrayShowDesktopButtonWClass1" ) { if ( line == "0" ) { WinMinimizeAll ; line := 1 } else { WinMinimizeAllUndo ; line := 0 } }return
  17. Just wanted to check about disabling sihost.exe, is this enough to change to disable it? Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]"EnableSIHostIntegration"=dword:00000000"ShellInfrastructure"="explorer.exe"
  18. I thought scheduled tasks are not running if i disable task scheduler? It looks that 24 services are minimum for Windows 10 to work "normally".
  19. Yes, i am currently testing windows 10 in VirtualBox before installing it on my laptop. So from what You said I guess this is minimum number of services (since i already disabled all other services). Thanks
  20. Sorry, error in typing, meant to say disable. I dont have any particular requirements, just dont want to have unneeded services running. Only enough for audio, wifi, printer and standard programs (audio and video player, for archives, documents and similar) to work.
  21. Just playing with Windows 10 and wanted to check what of services are safe to disable?
  22. I am trying to make my Windows 10 look like Windows 7 and i changed this so far. But how to change windows 10 boot animation and open with window to look like on windows 7?
  23. NikolaS92

    Error 18
