  1. Classic shell + Winaero Skin 2.0 for Classic Shell has been made for Windows 8/8.1. I just found out that it also give some good results, better than Opaque Taskbar and TaskbarBlurToggle. gontie I am using Aerolite HACK, which i discovered.
  2. Wolfshadow At the end of the day there is no one more qualified than Bigmuscle to make blur work with DWMGlass.dll, as he is the only one who really know how DWMGlass.dll works, and i am sure he can make a much better TaskbarBlurToggle OR Opaque Taskbar to work with DWMGlass.dll, as he seems more skilled than the creators of these tools. NOTES: TaskbarBlurToggle is NOT for windows 8/8.1, IT was meant for Windows 7 to turn OFF blur. Opaque Taskbar was NOT meant for blur, it was meant for solid color on Taskbar. StartIsBack was NOT meant for blur, it was meant for Start Menu with a Built in Configuration to disable Transparency.
  3. gontie The point IS Windows 8/8.1 does not provide aero glass/blur for Title bars/Frames OR Taskbar by default. Bigmuscle provide aero glass/blur for Windows 8/8.1 Title bars/Frames, and it has nothing to do with windows 7. Bigmuscle does not provide aero glass/blur for Windows 8.1 Taskbar, I AM puzzled BY THIS AS WELL, AS HE IS more than qualified to provide Taskbar blur / MAKE Standalone Configuration Tool.
  4. Bigmuscle i am puzzled as to why you haven't made a stand alone tool for taskbar blur ???. You have made UxThemeSignatureBypass after all, for Theme check Bypass, which works well. I think you are more than qualified to make a stand alone taskbar blur tool, i am puzzled, is there some reason why you have not ???. Thank You for DWMGlass.dll and UxThemeSignatureBypass.dlls, they are excellent products, i am sure if you made a stand alone taskbar blur tool it would be excellent as well.
  5. Use Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization\Color and Appearance OR Edit the theme file or msstyles file. OR Install StartIsBack and use the custom color feature, which will make Taskbar and Start Menu have a different color than windows theme.
  6. I think you are right, it must be layered windows hack, HERE are the commands i used. AutoHotkey: #NoTrayIcon#NoEnvLOOP{WinSet, Transparent, 254, AWinWaitNotActive,}Rgedit: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"ColorizationGlassAttribute"=dword:00000002
  7. What is layered windows hack ? Yes, it has nothing to do with Aero Glass effect, just showing what can be done with a very simple script.
  8. Windows 8.1 x64: Usable Clear Glass, with AutoHotkey and Regedit. (NO DWMGlass.dll OR WinaeroGlass.exe used) This PC: http://s29.postimg.org/x50e9s3dz/This_PC.jpg StartIsBack: http://s4.postimg.org/uzut7bpot/Start_Is_Back.jpg NOTES: Just TESTING different ways to get aero glass / glass, DWMGlass.dll is the best available method.
  9. Thank you bigmuscle for the update, working great for me. gontie AERO GLASS for Win8.1 1.2.5 with aerolite Hack and BlurDeviation setting, are working great on my Taskbar and Window Borders and StartIsBack. BlurDeviation setting can turn blur off, and give full blur, ON Taskbar and Window Borders and StartIsBack.
  10. gontie For more blur, BlurDeviation setting is what you need, when using Aero Glass for Win8.1 and aerolite hack. http://glass8.berlios.de/guide.html

  12. Blurred Taskbar when using Aero Glass for Win8.1 without ANY 3rd PARTY TOOLS: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170850-aero-glass-for-win81-121/page-19#entry1067659 OR StartIsBack: http://startisback.com/#download-tab OR Taskbar Blur Toggle 0.2.0: http://dblake1.deviantart.com/art/Taskbar-Blur-Toggle-0-2-0-412358153 They will give you Blur and Transparency also when using Aero Glass for Win8.1. NOTES: Taskbar Blur Toggle 0.2.0 WORKS WELL WITH aerolite HACK. Opaque Taskbar DOES NOT WORK WITH aerolite HACK, IT MAKES THE TASKBAR BLACK.
  13. I AM NOT GOING TO USE DWMGlass.dll UNTIL IT IS MADE CLEAR WHAT aphelion IS TALKING ABOUT. CAN MY PC BE HACKED / TAKEN OVER BY bigmuscle WITH DWMGlass.dll ?
  14. aphelion I am not being funny OR playing. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY ABOUT DWMGlass.dll ? . WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THIS THAN ?.
  15. No absolutely not. This was a theoretical discussion that got out of hand. SO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING ? & WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THIS THAN ?
  16. aphelion Are you saying bigmuscle CAN USE DWMGlass.dll AS A BACK DOOR, TO TAKE OVER / CONTROL / SPY ON MY PC ?

  19. frankie90 IF you used this regedit stuff Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]"LoadAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000001"AppInit_DLLs"="C:\\AeroGlass\\DWMGlass.dll""RequireSignedAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"BypassThemeSignature"=dword:00000001[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"BypassThemeSignature"=dword:00000001THEN YOU NEED TO USE THIS Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]"LoadAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000000"AppInit_DLLs"="""RequireSignedAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"BypassThemeSignature"=-[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"BypassThemeSignature"=-
  20. frankie90 YES Revert all the stuff you did to install DWMGlass, and then downloads symbols to C:\AeroGlass, then run AeroHost installer, DON'T Install glass shiny atlas resource when using AeroHost installer.
  21. frankie90 The instructions you have followed are NOT to install AeroHost, you only use the symbols download part with AeroHost, regedit settings will not work with AeroHost. Read Post #1083 http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170850-aero-glass-for-win81-121/page-44#entry1074888
