A few hours after posting this item I tried nLite again and the error had mysteriously disappeared. Have now managed to burn a CD which gets as far as "starting Windows" and hangs. I will make another CD, bearing in mind your comments, and see how it goes.

I ran nLite for the first time today. Got several error messages during processing of setup files but since program continued through the next stages I decided to try burning a CD. nLite terminated without doing anything. I restarted it and saw the location of my Windows file displayed correctly, but when I clicked Next I got a message "error while extracting the administrator localisation string" and it closed down. How do I get started again and will I have lost my settings? I've attached my lastsession.ini file. Thanks Peter Last Session.ini
