Clean up and/or rebuild icon cache. If don't help, clean up and repair registry, it may be damaged or not cleaned. There shouldn't be any other reason.
But if You mean this what I can see ie "Halo Wars", then there isn't any icons and shouldnt be also, because in this case is used thumbnails.
Excuse me, however, everything indicates, that your computer needs regular cleaning and maintenance.0 -

Interesting, why not use or recommend to use the built-in Administrator account. Especially when your computer starts and just do not remember the password. It is the simplest way to do what You ever want. You can run any computer using Administrator account which is without any password and gives full administrator privileges to change everything.
If you do not know what it is and how to use, open the Google search and type Built in Administrator account, may also add Windows 7, but it has been available already before Windows 7 came at all, but still computer users don't know, what it is and how to use.I'm sorry that so late, but have not visited a forum for a long time.

If previously worked, and you have not in the meantime used any another AV and then removed it, then Windows is damaged and the only help is clean re-installation.You can try to repair with Windows 10 Manager => Repair Center, but I do not believe that will get aid. This problem is familiar to me.

Not for nothing do not understand what you want to do. Maybe You explain a little bit more precise .. .What exactly is "all Windows context menus" what do you mean?PS. Everything can be put into the context menu, if needed.

I have tried everything to get windows update to update my pc with the latest updates but gives error every time. I even tried to reinstall windows 7. Anyone have any ideas, thanks.
When performing Windows Update in Windows 7, "Unable to find new updates." error (code: 8024000E) occurs and the update fails.
Usually this issue is caused when Intel Rapid Storage Driver isn't installed.
- go to Intel Rapid Storage Driver download page.
- Go to iata_cd.exe, click [download] to complete download and installation.
- Once the installation is complete, restart the computer and see if the problem has been resolved.
I'm not quite sure, but it looks like it could be your problem.

These are different things (link and shortcut icon)- you're probably activated and allowed to run Skype Windows Desktop version and Skype for Windows. And You have allowed to start both if Windows start. These programs are different. You need to choose what you use, but not both simultaneously.And at all, Why is needed in the same pc two different Skypes?

The only idea is, that the path to your Windows times before you start to install any other programs. That is your problem and your machine problem. And no one can help you in any way.0

I was on the phone with Microsoft over an hour last evening. They originally told me that the numbers in my computer were NOT genuine, but verified the 25 digit number on the back of the Dell laptop as a legit Windows 7 OEM number. Then she told me that her boss said I need to go back to Dell, that they would help since it was an OEM install on Windows. I then asked her "Do you mean that eveyrone who bought a computer with Windows 7 on it, has to go back to the manufacturer ?? She replied "That is what the boss said" So I hung up. I will do a complete re-install back to its factory condition and then wait to see what happens. She also had no answer to "why was I accepted in the insider group in the first place" Not a happy camper.
It seems that it is a Microsoft representative did not know nothing about things. This story is a complete mess. So those things do not go any way.I would recommend you to read some another forums, but I'm not sure if this is allowed here.0 -
Slight abrevation to this post -- Yes you need to upgrade from within your current windows 7 first.
Once you have the ISO from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 you are all set to go.
Create either a Bootable USB drive or DVD. At any time after you want to reinstall Windows 10 from fresh simply wipe your hard drive clean.
You dont need a product key, at the option to enter the key, select Do this later ( skip entering the key) Windows will install as per normal.
As long as you are on the interent it will automatically reactivate since the previous activation has already registered your Hardware (motherboard).
Note: the Previous install of W10 MUST have been activated from the upgrade on the same Computer first. They use generic keys in W10.

Missing is the fact that before upgrading you have to be signed in to Microsoft account and logged in your PC with Microsoft account. And if You have the OEM key, may be necessary to contact the Microsoft, if there is no automatic activation immediately.And it is true that you get a new key and the previous (old) will be canceled after one month.Once this is done and Windows 10 is activated, you can perform a clean installation and do not insert nowhere no serial key, just enter the Microsoft account information, if prompted. It be asked a little bit before the end of the installation. You must select "I own..." then "Next," etc.0 -

Where did you take that Windows 10 uses only 4GB - this is the volume, if you have an ISO file, after installation the volume is much-much higher.

It is deep Human Rights Violation. If it is really Windows, then they does not recognize any kind of laws.
But this may be also some kind of fraud.
I would advise to be careful, or not at all to answer if there asked such strange things.

1. Be more careful when installing programs, you're have yourself made Mozilla as your default browser;
2. The default settings and programs can change if You open the "Set Program Access and Defaults";
3. IE you can set back to the default browser if open the IE, then open IE settings and then select - make IE as my default browser.
Microsoft update didn't work either,...
* It is much more difficult question and you have to resolve this problem yourself. There is possible be more than many causes.

You can experiment, but the best of my knowledge to this problem has only one reason, and also only one way to fix it.

Like a week ago i buy a new pc , Fx 6300 , Saphire r9 270 dual x , 4gb ddr3 1600mhz ram , 960gm vgs3 fx , etc.The problem is the temperature , i use speedfan to check the temp and it marks in the "cpu" 48º , 50º in idle , i also check it with other programs like Core temp and HWMonitor and they say 30º or 35º.When i play bf3 the ºc rises up to 70º and there is when the lag spikes appears.I have a stock cooler , is this the problem?Sorry for my english , this isn't my native language.Btw there are the images.
All is absolutely normal. If you have on idle state 95ºC or more, then would be something very wrong.

And you cannot fix it just as easily.
I "warmly" recommend => refresh Windows or do new clean install.
