  1. Figured it out. I was using the Essentials key and not the Standard key. There was probably a clue in setupact.log as it constrains the image search and finds nothing. Thanks for your reply because it made me aware that Windows could actually choose the image based on the key itself:)
  2. I have removed the InstallFrom block and it still pops up the window saying there are no images available..
  3. I seem to be unable to get an unattended install off the ground with the Server 2012 RC. It pops up the windows to select the image but says "No images are availabe". Which is bull, because I can do a manual install just fine and further back in setupact.log it reports it found 4 sub images. Here is my XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"> <settings pass="windowsPE"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-International-Core-WinPE" processorArchitecture="amd64" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SetupUILanguage> <UILanguage>en-US</UILanguage> </SetupUILanguage> <InputLocale>en-US</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>en-US</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>en-US</UILanguage> <UserLocale>en-US</UserLocale> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Setup" processorArchitecture="amd64" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <DiskConfiguration> <Disk wcm:action="add"> <CreatePartitions> <CreatePartition wcm:action="add"> <Size>100</Size> <Order>1</Order> <Type>Primary</Type> </CreatePartition> <CreatePartition wcm:action="add"> <Order>2</Order> <Type>Primary</Type> <Extend>true</Extend> </CreatePartition> </CreatePartitions> <ModifyPartitions> <ModifyPartition wcm:action="add"> <Active>true</Active> <Format>NTFS</Format> <Label>Boot</Label> <Order>1</Order> <PartitionID>1</PartitionID> </ModifyPartition> <ModifyPartition wcm:action="add"> <Format>NTFS</Format> <Label>System</Label> <PartitionID>2</PartitionID> <Order>2</Order> </ModifyPartition> </ModifyPartitions> <DiskID>0</DiskID> <WillWipeDisk>true</WillWipeDisk> </Disk> </DiskConfiguration> <ImageInstall> <OSImage> <InstallFrom> <MetaData wcm:action="add"> <Key>/IMAGE/NAME</Key> <Value>Windows Server 8 Beta SERVERSTANDARD</Value> </MetaData> </InstallFrom> <InstallTo> <DiskID>0</DiskID> <PartitionID>2</PartitionID> </InstallTo> <WillShowUI>OnError</WillShowUI> <InstallToAvailablePartition>false</InstallToAvailablePartition> </OSImage> </ImageInstall> <UserData> <ProductKey> <WillShowUI>OnError</WillShowUI> <Key>M4YNK-GV7CR-GPDCP-4KKJX-2YPP2</Key> </ProductKey> <FullName>--</FullName> <Organization>--</Organization> <AcceptEula>true</AcceptEula> </UserData> </component> </settings> <settings pass="specialize"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="amd64" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <ProductKey>M4YNK-GV7CR-GPDCP-4KKJX-2YPP2</ProductKey> <ComputerName>Server2012</ComputerName> <RegisteredOrganization>--</RegisteredOrganization> <TimeZone>New Zealand Standard Time</TimeZone> </component> </settings> <settings pass="oobeSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="amd64" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <AutoLogon> <Password> <Value</Value> <PlainText>false</PlainText> </Password> <Enabled>true</Enabled> <LogonCount>2</LogonCount> <Username>administrator</Username> </AutoLogon> <UserAccounts> <AdministratorPassword> <Value></Value> <PlainText>false</PlainText> </AdministratorPassword> </UserAccounts> <RegisteredOwner>--</RegisteredOwner> <RegisteredOrganization>--</RegisteredOrganization> </component> </settings> <cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="wim:e:/windows2012_dist/sources/install.wim#Windows Server 8 Beta SERVERSTANDARD" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /> </unattend> I'm using '/IMAGE/NAME' here, but I've also tried '/IMAGE/INDEX' do no avail. I've got the autounattend.xml on separate removable media, but have also tried packing it in the ISO with the same results:/ Using same process with Server 2008 no problems. Anyone having this issue?
