I know most games support local lan.. say if your home has 3 or 4 PCs. But the other PC other than the one I use are old and too slow for most games. Other than that I like to play multi-player with friends so I need to figure out a way to connect with them. I guess my question is that is it possible to emulate a local lan over the internet for games that only supports lan and not tcp/ip?

Is there a guide somewhere online to teach you to do that? because there are many games that supports LAN only.. so this method may work. I am a network dummy and have no idea how this could be done. I have only the original NFSU. Live For Speed looks great, I think I may have tried the demo before.. What is "S2" ??

There are many good drive sims like NFSU that may support multi-player but require connection to their game server. I am looking for ones that allows you to connect to your friends via IP or allows you to host your own server and have other people connect to you. I know games like Age of Empires have that option, but I don't know any drive sims that does the same. If anyone knows of any please let me know! Thanks. B)
