I believe I have the BSY error on my drive. I was following this guide: http://sites.google.com/site/seagatefix/ I am using this adapter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SLRUOM The loop back test on the adapter is successful When I connect everything BEFORE i turn the power on the drive but after the power cable is connected to the drive my putty screen streams random characters (same in hyper terminal). Once i turn the power on to the drive the random characters stop, but I never get a response to the ctrl+z I am not sure where to go from here... edit: I added a ground wire from the USB adapter to the drive, this eliminated the random characters, however I still get no response at all from the ctrl+z
