  1. Anyone knows how to apply the tweaks to ALL incoming new MSN Profiles generated on:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger\PerPassportSettings\**MessengerIDhere**\

I've tried looking on all DLL, EXE (ResHack) and MSIs(Orca) to find where are those settings and change the default values, but I had no luck at all :(.

  2. So I managed to obtain a RC copy of the Windows 7 64 bits version, but when I'm ready to start the installation I got this message:

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, cd dvd or usb flash drive please..."

I have looked on google and the unique Workaround to this is setting on the BIOS the device from SATA to IDE, but that option doesn't come on my Dell Inspiron 6400 and I can't even boot from a external DVD drive (yeah my laptop s*cks). Other method is from the USB, but I don't have one of 4GB :-(.

I was loking for a driver for this DVD Device (Optiarc AD5540A) but it appears that doesn't exist, just the generic ones that Microsoft have build in but I don't have it for Windows 7 or Vista, just for XP.

    Any ideas? thanks in advanced.

  3. There's a leaked 5503 build, not even tagged has RC, maybe RTM? Perhaps was compiled on March 07 I think (there's a lot of files modified on that date).

    Some files

  4. Solved. :P

Looking *inf files, I found the solution.

In the file "HIVESYS.INF" see the key language "INSTALL_LANGUAGE = 0A04" and change the value to "0409" (English USA). ;)

Is that possible? I mean you got 0 errors after integrate SP3 English on a Windows XP Spanish source?

  5. EDit:

I figured it out, NOT NLITES PROBLEM. Its SP3

If you slipstream SP3, You must integrate this file kb835221 or your audio drivers will not install. For some reason sp3 does not have this file or its a bug.

You can get it with most drivers in the HDAQFE folder.

Ok, so first I slipstream SP3, then the KB update? then made my custom CD and install my drivers without any problem?

  6. I figured it out!!!!! For some reason XP SP3 does not include kb835221.

You can get it in the HDAQFE folder for your sigmatel drivers.

The driver installed! It wants to restart

IF I GET A PROBLEM AND IT DOES NOT WORK I WILL POST BACK, if i dont I WILL NOT.

When you try to install it, it says that you already have a newer version of that update. I also tried to install it, but it doesn't work. Hope someone could find a workaround.

  7. i did nlite sp3 no prob, although it did 1/2 of my drivers and my audio wont install.

You prolly dont have a real sp3 3205.

On my laptop Sound Card (SigmaTel High Definition Audio) isn't recognized too dunno why.

BTW. In order to get your original CD-Key work after you slipstream SP3, just replace PIDGEN.DLL on the i386 folder with the original file from your XP CD, also delete the pid.inf file (ignore the error when your installation ask for that file).

  8. Hi there, well I just wanna know if there's a way to install drivers on a limited account without ask for Admin rights? The problem is when I'm on a limited account and I put a new USB Drive it ask me for the drivers and I have to log on with the Admin account on a pop-up window that appear in order to add the new hardware.
