Service automatically stops frequenlty. It will not help you because at target machine somebody should start the service. For to get it run i start every service, i do not exactly know what services it exactly need. After i succeded to connect the machine i need to left the machine for a few hours alone and try to connect again if it connects or not.

probably never support. it is just wimb advertisement. no need for sp1. my aim never be all people use my software or be famous. if i were want that it could be. all stuff started because of i do not want to use what someone wants me to use his software and i started to make my own and after hard works and interest i saw that it is not difficult to do because i am not an expert. because pre built coded builders will never be perfect as users wants it to be. just think of microsoft. they never compile a software what users want, they only build what they want and sell.

He can integrate everything without ask "why? what JFX or other users want to add (i know such experinced members very good and they do perfect work but) you (normal users) will not have anthing to complain about his GREAT WORK {i say it honestly, yiğidi öldür hakkını yeme (Turkish)}. If you want to complain, do by your own BETTER (also i say for my works). I always try to help user problems but they should be enough technical and the user should have basic knowledge for editing wim and registry.

With the genious of JFX findings and his explanations makes vss issue one step away. I have not need to use vss yet.

Mount wim to a folder read and write. Use this hive loader to mount software or system hive to your current registry. loadhive.exe If you loaded SYSTEM hive. import SYSTEM_00 reg file if not load SOFTWARE one. what you mean "password protected command prompt". yes winpeshl.ini does work but i always need some batch files to get run that i can not hide. winpeshl.ini is not enough for me always.

i don not know. Just i want to do that. There will be new usb3.0 support and remotefx. If i can get remote drivers to work. 2 remote video save drivers makes bluescreen now (RDPENCDD,RDPREFMP).

You can not install ie from installer under winpe. It needs 3 updates to be installed. For to install updates need trustedinstaller, wusa,cab support, when they all done it says "this update can not be installed to this version" error. Maybe it can be solved to extract cab context and update.mum patch but i did not try. And lots of other stuff missing under winpe. Better you try to grab reg and file changes and integrate to winpe.Maybe you can try to integrate cab updates directly to winpe by patching update.mum and dism. But also if you can succeed to integrate packages with dism, all the registry additions will refer to C:\ or D:\ partition. Also need to change all to X:\

Windows 7 SP1 RTM 7601.17514.101119-1850 prerelease. Build all from sp1 files and registry. It is very difficult because i believe sp1 is NOT released yet. It can be seen from files and registry. Drivers inf's are not complated. It could be better i worked on after microsoft formally release. Difficult part finished and remaning will be finish a few days i think.

unfortunately microsoft did not release a proper sp1 integrated build (in my opinion) as you can see from original iso. Because that it will be difficult and timeconsuming to work on a sp1 winpe. I stop working on it.

But should be appoxiamately 1.3-1.4GB

I need to know exactly what files need to be included in the driver folder to successfully add the driver.

As easy as to look inside drivers inf file and search for files mentioned.

Maybe i can talk about the topic title too. I don't know why but i do not use dism to integrate drivers. It's reason can be when i did that first time i investigated directory structure i see that it puts inf files as oem*.inf and it makes complex to understand which oem*.inf is for which driver file. Also i remember something that there was oem folders which driver files copied inside. So i changed my way to put inf files to inf folders and sys files to sys folder. Of course it is not a perfect way to integrate drivers. Driver files complain about it can not find sys and sourcediskfiles sections. I removed them with semicolons but this time need to patch many inf files and manual editing destroys driver signutures. And the latest way i discovered is;

*i put inf file to inf folder.

*i put correspondent sys files to drivers folder.

*i put correspondent dll files and coinstallers to system32 folder.

*i put correspondent inf folder to winsxs folder. correspondent manifest files to manifest folder.

there are drvindex.dat,INFCACHE.1,infpub.dat,infstor.dat,infstrng.dat. when you integrate drivers with dism it enumarates drivers and adds database that that wim has that driver inside. so i change them with windows 7 setup big files that has all driver ids. also i add correspondent FileRepository folder and en-us driver loc file. also Windows\System32\catroot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\*.cat files related with drivers.

Another way is use install.wim of embedded. to add desired drivers to embedded with dism. and to use drvindex.dat,INFCACHE.1,infpub.dat,infstor.dat,infstrng.dat from it. it will be less size of driver database with desired driver ids.

I didn't put search functionality in my builds ever. Because when i was put it also i was puting searchindexing. As i understand search indexing gets winpe unstable (as much as i know) It try to search all locations and try to index files. I saw in a friends winpe and it was working and decided to see what can i do. I have put theese files only

and it works. I advise disable searchindexing . Probably when you don't put WSearch it will work too. Also do not put

There should be an empty value to load a hiv. HKU\Software is not an empty value. There are lot's of keys and values under it. It will not let you load hiv to there, or if it let, it need to delete user registry keys in there. When it loads you can use regedit and investigate the hiv. you can add values and keys with regedit. You will see that there is a complate hiv under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\test] and be sure to change reg file with new paths [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\test\Software\Microsoft\Screensavers]
