  1. "Name: Windows Update, Publisher: Microsoft Windows Component Publisher."

    I.E. "Windows Update Agent" - "WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe".

    I see several LOGS - RVMIntegrator, HFSLIP, and nLite. Why are you using ALL of them?

    HFSLIP

    Files in your HFCABS folder:

    IEAWSDC.CAB

    LegitCheckControl.cab

    OGAControl.cab

    opuc4.cab

    SWFLASH.CAB

    wbemoc.cab

    wuweb_site.cab

    This won't (AFAIK) install EVERYTHING you need. Where did you get those instructions?

    I use too many programs because each one do something I want...

    HFSLIP: merge the hotfixes

    NLITE: remove not need componets

    RVMIntegrator: I only use to remove SCSI, FAT and Floppy support from first part of windows instalation, maybe HFSLIP can do that but I dont know how.

    DriverPack Integrator: Add mass storage drivers property (I have some issues adding than with NLITE)

    About the cabs you list they are used to Windows Update, WGA, Office Update and Flash Player. Always works fine in my previous installs.

    The only thing I change this time is hotfixes (updated until 08/abr/2013) and WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86 (Ricktendo version posted in another forum)

  2. Hi, I create a updated version of Windows XP with HFSLIP today, everything is ok and all updates are merged to instalation but something is missing.

    When I try to use Windows Update in firstime, Internet Explorer ask to install this component:

    Microsoft Windows Component Publisher

    Is possible to slipstream it to instalation too?

    LOGS.zip

  3. I have created a AIO Windows 7 portuguese-brazilian instalation with x86 and x64 using dism and imagex.

    All works fine but IE9 is in english, when I run windows update it ask to download a MUI pack to translate it. I try manually download this MUI update and try integrate using dism but doesnt work.

    What I can do to IE9 back to portuguese brazil? After use WUD IE9 works fine.

    PS.: WUD download all updates except framework 3.5 updates that is part of windows 7, I want to ask to add this updates to next release.

    Uninstall your version of IE9, as i've found the version of IE9 in your language here:-

    x64: http://download.micr...ws7-x64-ptb.exe

    x86: http://download.micr...ws7-x86-ptb.exe

    The installer will download all updates for IE9 and install along with IE9.

    As for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, i do have plans to bring back the updates for 3.5 after the release of SP2!

    I dont know if here is the right place to ask but I will ask anyway. How to integrate it with DISM? I try put this EXE files but DISM ignore it.

    EDIT: Solved after expand this both files using this command: C:\IE9-Windows7-x86-ptb.exe /x:C:\IE9x86 and than use dism to integrate the expanded cabs in windows instalation.

  5. PlayReady only work in SP1 if you unnistall current installed and download it again from MS. I want direct link to download it and slipstream to ISO image.

    Can anyone give a link?

    Thanks for help.

  6. If you have integrated SP1 with RT7 Lite, but want to clean the SP backup files before installing the image, I've prepared this guide for the DISMally challenged:

    This works whether you have only integrated SP1 with RT7 lite and exited the program before customizing, or after you've integrated and fully customized your image.

    This assumes that your freshly integrated image already resides in a folder. If you have already modified the new SP1 image with RT7 lite, deleted the folder, and made an .ISO, you can extract the .ISO into a folder. For the sake of simplicity, I suggest you rename that folder to what I've used in the DISM command lines later on in this tutorial;

    Rename your RT7 image folder "W7SP1." Let's make another folder called "W7temp."

    Reboot, and after your BIOS posts, hit the F8 key and choose "Repair Your Computer." You'll have to be quick on the draw here; your window of opportunity is pretty slim to hit F8. Once the the recovery console has loaded, select the command prompt option from the list of recovery tools.

    Now let's mount the image. If you've used RT7 Lite to integrate, no matter what version of Windows you chose, (Home, Ultimate, etc.) the index number will be 1, as shown below. It's hard telling what drive letter you'll need to use in the command lines...my image files resided in my "D" drive, but in the recovery console, it became the "F" drive. I just hunted around by guessing the drive letter and typing E:\DIR and F:\DIR etc., until I found the correct drive. Type the following, assuming that your RT7 image resides in E:\W7SP1.

    DISM /Mount-Wim /WimFile:E:\W7SP1\sources\install.wim /index:1 /MountDir:E:\W7temp

    Once the image has successfully mounted, we'll clean up the SP1 backup files:

    DISM /image:E:\W7temp /cleanup-Image /spsuperseded

    DISM may report that there might not be enough disk space for the "scratch file" to perform the operation, but I found it safe to ignore this.

    After DISM reports that the backup files have been successfully cleaned up, you can unmount and commit the changes to your original RT7 Lite image:

    DISM/Unmount-Wim /MountDir:E:\W7temp /commit

    After the operation is complete, you may reboot. Voila!

    Now when you want to install the image, fire up RT7 Lite and point it to the newly cleaned folder and select no options except for the "ISO Bootable." Once the image is loaded, make a bootable image as per usual and burn to your medium of choice.

    May I suggest that you print these instructions before rebooting, so that once you're in the recovery console, you can refer to the command lines. Good Luck!

    I don't know why but simply doesn't work here. I try in both x86 an x64 and doesn't work.

    Already try integrate with RT7Lite, Se7en_UA and direct with DISM and never work. Anyone alredy try to do that in another language or only in english? My version is PT-BR.

  7. Disk Cleanup, nothing to do with Dism

    Go to start, paste cleanmgr.exe there in Search box.

    remove the Service Pack Backup Files

    now it is not doing it. It done it 2 day's ago. hmm wonder why

    I also try use winows cleanup but doesn'r work too. I see other people using it fine and don't work to me. Maybe the problem is localized version (mine is PT-BR) I will try inject SP1 in english version of windows setup and try disk cleanup and dism command.

  8. SP1 RTM injection works fine. Running that now after I wiped my disk.

    Processing 1 of 1 - Adding package Package_for_KB976932~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.17514

    [==========================100.0%==========================]

    The operation completed successfully.

    Edit: BTW after you happy do Disk Cleanup and remove the backup files for SP1 and you will gain almost 1GB back... 920mb here on 64 flavor

    What is the command to do a disk cleanup?

    I try the command to do Disk Cleanup and desn't work.

    COMMAND:

    DISM /Image:"MOUNT_DIR_PATH" /cleanup-Image /spsuperseded

    ERROR:

    Service Pack Cleanup can't proceed: No service pack backup files were found

    The operation completed successfully.

    Also try use DISM, Se7en_UA and RT7LITE to inject SP1 and cleanup doesn't work. I also try to remove backup after instaled Seven with SP1 and the program doesn't remove the files.

    I use a MSDN clean version of Windows 7 PT-BR x86 (and have same error in x64 version)

    Any suggestions to remove backups?

  9. Same here. Now to figure out how to get rid of the backup files. The disk cleanup utility shows 900mb backed up, but the utility is unable to delete the files.

    Which utility are you using, let me try it too to see the results.

    The utility is dism and the switches are /cleanup-image /spsuperseded with /online or /image:<path>

    You can also use the disk cleanup utility built into win7 to delete the files, he could be talking about that too

    Doesn't work Rick.

    I try offline image command and show me this error:

    The spsuperseded option is not recognized in this context.

    I also try remove from a online image but another error occurs. The I try to use Disk Cleanup to remove backup files but also doesn't work. Program says that files are removed but files still there.

    I also can't slipstream SP1 x64 version with my MSDN ISO. x86 works fine but DISM show me a error when I try make a x64 version.

    EDIT: found a error here, LOW DISK SPACE. When I erase some files integration works OK.

    Any new RT7Lite will come to try correct this problems?

    Some suggestion to program developer:

    -Add a option to make changes in WIM all versions, this can be very usefull to people that have AiO versions of Windows.

    Example1: I have a WIM with 7 windows versions and want to add SP1 to all versions.

    Example2: Want to remove features and add drivers from all x86 versions in a AiO WIM.

    - Add a checkbox in serial tab to set windows in wim file instead of autounnatended. This will be usefull for AiO installs.

    - In RT7Lite Security Tab will be great if have a way to turn off\disable (just disable, don't remove) Windows Backup, Security Center, CEIP and Action Center.

    - Create a USB bootable device with Seven instalation.

    This is my suggestions. Thank for the program

  10. Try again, but without

    BDESVC=True
    Mcx2Svc=True
    CscService=True
    WPCSvc=True
    wscsvc=True
    SCardSvr=True
    SCPolicySvc=True
    SDRSVC=True
    WbioSrvc=True
    idsvc=True
    WinDefend=True
    ehRecvr=True
    ehSched=True
    WMPNetworkSvc=True

    And don't use viper tweaked.

    If this works. Then the problem is with some service u disabled.

    Then mount again. Enable Viper tweaked -> try again.

    Then mount again and remove your services -> try again

    You will have to eliminate stuff where it could be wrong.

    Last you can try this. In your vm run enablelibraries.reg. Reboot. If this fix the problem you can add this tweak to RT7

    I should try this first.

    Hope it helps.

    I try again without the above code, also try restore services with black viper Default System setting and try your attached regtweak. Doesn't work.

    The source of Seven instalatiion I use is one already edited previuosly, maybe this is the cause.

  11. I have a similar problem.

    I make a AiO Instalation with 7 versions of windows Seven. All works fine with my custom Autounattend.xml file except NetBook Edition version.

    During install appears a error. this error occours because I disable System Restore in Autounnatended file and I have removed System Restore from Netbook Edition. The when windows setup tries to disable this feature appears a error.

    Can I disable System Restore (and other itens) with DISM? I want simple disable, don't remove that feature because in some scenarios they can be usefull.

    Other itens I want to disable with DISM (disable, don't remove):

    WinDefend (Windows Defender)

    WSCSVC (Action\Security Center)

    SDRSVC (Windows Backup),

    Is it can be done with DISM can anyone post a script or REG tweak to disable that things?

    Other question, how can I enable automatic driver and icons download during instalations? This can be done with dism or I need to create a script or regtweak or maybe in Autounattend.xml file?

    Thanks for help

  12. Hí, I already ask it without answer in official RT7Lite forum, then in create a specific topic for that.

    I create a personalized version of Windows 7 (both x86 and\or x64) in RT7lite but Windows Fax and Scan doesn't work after windows instalation. I already try several versions of RT7 and also try in Windows 7 English and Portuguese version.

    I have attached my present file here. Please someone can verify what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks

  13. Hi

    my computer crashed while creating my own windows 7 ( had a lot of programs running) and now i cant start RT seven lite. Every time this comes up: you have to unmount following wim.

    I read through the thread and tried this: c:\Program files\Windows AIK\Tools\amd64\imagex /unmount c:\Users\rasmus\appdata\local\temp\RT_mount. However it didn't work..

    please could someone help me? :)

    I already have this kind problem, RT 7 Lite tries to mount WIM file in default TEMP DIR but dir is already have a previuos image on it. To resolve that you need remove\unmount that dir using bat\cmd file with that code:

    DISM /Unmount-Wim /MountDir:"C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp\RT_Mount" /discard
    DISM /Cleanup-Wim
    TAKEOWN /F C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp\RT_Mount" /R
    ICACLS C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp\RT_Mount" /T /L /GRANT *S-1-1-0:F
    RD /s /Q "C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp\RT_Mount"

    Where "C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp\RT_Mount" is your RT 7 Lite temp folder inside in your User Dir.

    The above path is defauth RT 7 Lite TEMP DIR, but sometimes it can creates diferent paths.

    To see the right path, go to DOS Prompt and type: DISM /Get-MountedWimInfo this will show any mounted WIM image in your system and currect path.

    Other way to remove that dir is using a Unlocker program taht you can download here:

    http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

  14. I see a sample of unattended file with the following config:

    	<servicing>
    <package action="configure">
    <assemblyIdentity name="Microsoft-Windows-Foundation-Package" version="6.0.6000.16386" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="" />
    <selection name="TabletPCOC" state="true" />
    <selection name="TelnetClient" state="false" />
    <selection name="TelnetServer" state="false" />
    <selection name="NetFx3" state="true" />
    </package>
    </servicing>

    Now I thinking if I can do something like that to simple disable services "WinDefend" (Windows Defender), WSCSVC (Action\Security Center), SDRSVC (Windows Backup), and maybe others services with unattended file.

    EXAMPLE:

    	<servicing>
    <service action="configure">
    <assemblyIdentity name="Microsoft-Windows-Foundation-Service" version="6.0.6000.16386" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="" />
    <service name="WinDefend" start="Automatic" />
    <service name="WSCSVC" start="Manual" />
    <service name="SDRSVC" start="Disabled" />
    </service>
    </servicing>[/

    I'm in the right path to a solution of my problem or unattended file doesn't allow that kind of configuration???

  15. How to disable System Restore and Windows Defender by the default in a unattended instalattion without use Autounattend.xml trick (<DisableAntiSpyware>true</DisableAntiSpyware> <DisableSR>1</DisableSR>)?

    Why I need to disable it by other means? Because I make a AIO instalation with several types of images and one of then don't have System Restore and Windows Defender (I remove it with RT 7 lite) and if I use <DisableSR>1</DisableSR> in Autounattend.xml I receive a error mensage during Specialize stage of instalation.

    Other question, how to disable Action Center warnings and icons to all users? I found some tricks but only work for current user or I need to load Default user hive and edit it. Have another easy way to do that?

    One more how to disable Windows Backup?

    Last question, how to enable Hardware Internet Updates by default to all users?

    Thanks for help.

  16. Than can I remove all visual effects and aero support with RT7Lite right?

    My fear would be that you'd lose basic theme support. Then you'd likely be looking at Windows Classic. My suggestion would be to leave as is...removing themes and the like would save practically nil on your hard drive foot print.

    Done, I create a custom seven and installed sucessfully on my old laptop.

    Now I have two issues:

    Office 2010 doesn't install (2007 and 2003 works fine)

    I remove IEEE 1394 support with RT7 Lite, but my Laptop have this hardware. Now I want to know if I can copy a drivers folder from a full untouched Seven instalation to my laptop and put windows to search in this folder from a IEEE 1394 driver. By the way, where windows x86 store drivers? I try copy from C:\Windows\system32\drivers and C:\Windows\system32\driverstorage without luck.
