I've been having the same issues again after re-installing and starting from scratch on the virtual hdd, but I found the cause and through I'd share my solution... Simply remove the read only flag on Se7en_UA\uaDVD\sources\install.wim. After copying it from the DVD source, it seems that the flag was never changed. Of course, removing read only on the whole directory works too lol,I had my vhd at 8gb and it ran out of space while working with the wim files. I'll have to start again tomorrow evening now... oops

Last night I decided that I would give Se7en_UA it's own drive to keep everything tidy, so I'm going to be doing this anyway I've created a virtual hdd file under Computer Management and installed it to the root directory of my new W: drive. I had copied the previous Se7en_UA directory over the new install trying to avoid re-copying the windows disc and applying sp1 again, but I think I'm going to uninstall/delete that, re-install and start afresh when I next come to working on the install disc.

I taken ownership of the uaDVD directory (manually via the Security tab in properties) then deleted the log file and then went into Se7ev_UA and clicked on the option that is now labelled "SP1 Start: 20:36 Done: 20:37"... The image mounted this time and everything seems to be going well so far. I'll report back later once it completes. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the response myselfidem but I'm not sure what you mean by "remove the mounted image with Se7en_UA". I don't see an option that sounds like it would do something like this in the program window. I have removed the mount directory from the root of E: before running Se7en_UA, but this didn't make a difference. Regarding the drive suggestion - I have the program installed to drive E: as I am trying to keep writing to my ssd (C:) to a minimum...

I'm trying to get Se7en_UA 6.5.7 working under Windows 7 Home Premium x86, but it's failing at the point of slipstreaming SP1. I've already copied the Windows 7 files on a previous run, so I'm just loading the program and clicking on "Inject SP1 with 7zip" and then selecting the option for "all languages" (just in case that's relevant) I've watched the screen while 7zip works and seen quite a few "Everything is Ok" messages, finishing with the following: Everything is Ok Files: 2549 Size: 60763368 Compressed: 9507582 Waiting for 0 seconds, press a key to continue ... When I run Se7en_UA now, the checkbox that did have the caption "Inject SP1 with 7zip" is now titled "SP1 Start: 20:36 Done: 20:37" but remains unchecked. Any ideas? PS I do have a quick question - is the WAIK actually required or not? I know there's a reference to it on the original post; But this didn't seem too clear to me... sorry. Hi, Just a quick question... Do you need to include the windows updates in a specific order, like oldest first, or will 7Customizer apply the updates in the correct way so as to make sure that the most recent files are used? I'm just wondering if adding the newest patch first and the oldest patch last may possibly result in the older version of a system file being used. Up to now I've just downloaded all windows updates using autopatcher, searched the AP directory for *.msu files and added them all in one go. I'm currently building an image created with this method, but I'm not sure how I would test that all updates were applied correctly/in the right order Thanks! edit: Hmmm, the iso that I was building never showed up... does 7Customizer not like the iso destination being a network directory? (I'm building within a VirtualBox VM, so had the destination as a shared folder, which shows as a network location) Also, does 7Customizer not save any settings apart from the WAIK app locations?
