I did some further testing on a Windows 8.1 Desktop PC with BitLocker, without TPM.

On a logical drive, the context menu option is here and works.

The context menu option is not present by cons to the system drive C:, but I can unlock carefree with the following options:

- bdeunlock.exe C:

- Manage-bde -unlock C: -RecoveryKey L:\xxxx.BEK

- Manage-bde -unlock C: -Password (the password is requested).

- Manage-bde -unlock C: -RecoveryPassword 123456-... (the 48-digit password key)

The display of this option is related to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Drive\shell\unlock-bde,AppliesTo,System.Volume.BitLockerProtection:=6

If I remove this reg value, the option is here for all drive, including those not locked, normal.

And I do not know how to fix this Advanced Query Syntax.

I do not have a Win 8.1 tablet on hand to test or help more, sorry if this is not enough

I made quite a lot of modification on the script (customization options are on the interface, folder choice, x64)

By cons, I am not sure that I will add it to the Package which remains the core with only few Apps.

You can try also this cmdline

bdeunlock.exe C: (or D: if you do not have the LetterSwap script enabled)

and can you try to rename this registry value in the running PE, just to test the unlocking

How is your building in Virtual Machine before testing it on your Baytrail Tablet. There may be some drivers to install for this hardware.

For Tablet Input, I have this script which must probably help a bit. I do not have a tablet PC, to test, only an android Samsung Tab2, more used by my daughter and my wife.

The problem of cache manager is the same in Win8.1SE 2012-12-10, 2012-10-16 package or Sp-Star build.

It depends on the number of script selected and the number of thumbnails created for the ModernUI.

I used a workaround, for now, found on the Chinese forum.

Remove thumbcache.dll in Win8.1SE OS to avoid Cache manager BSOD.

but the thumbnails are lost in ModernUI, not a big concern with StartIsBack or CLassic Shell.

I added the deletion of thumbcache.dll in Optimizations script. It is on server.

Shortcut file generated is likely to look for related problems.

You're right, the problem comes from shortcuts, indeed cache ? BSOD "cache_manager" ?

but it does not comes from a particular shortcuts. It is a bit random depending on the number of shortcuts created.

Pecmd Link or shortcuts.exe => same problem

Win8.1SE or Sp-Star Win8.1 RamOS 1215 (adding LINK) => same problem

Win8.1SE with fewer shortcuts created, works also.

To test without PowerISO, just go to StartScreen and return with the down arrow.

Otherwise,China WinBuilder-1215 is really nice but It lacks some files to make PowerISO operates (regsvr32.exe, oleaut32.dll,...). Same for other tools like Procmon.

I searched for a long time today for the installation problem of PowerISO, probably also other Install.

Strange, it is related to shortcuts.exe which works very well for over 3 years

It seems to be related with Autoit on Windows 8.1. I tried with the latest beta 3.3.9.25, it's the same

for information, Sp_Star only use Pecmd.ini (RamOSInit.ini with Link, Pint, Exec...). He does not use PecmdInit.ini

As you said, it is probably a result of timing.

I have done well or I'm lucky to let shortcuts.exe in Pecmd.ini and not to move it in PecmdInit.ini

As explained above, for now, shortcuts.exe is retained for compatibility with Macro Library and existing scripts.

To fully use Pecmd, it must be done manually as did neon2m.

And for information, creating shortcuts takes at most 1 or 2 seconds, displaying is a bit slower.

Creating shortcuts is not a complicated thing. Pecmd or shortcuts.exe, both do it well. And both do more than just shortcuts.

Shortcuts.exe is compatible with almost All scripts that can be found around

The scripts use the function (the macro) Add_Shortcut, It is very easy and useful to write in a script (Add_Shortcut,Desktop,.. Add_Shortcut,StartMenu,..., )

Add_Shortcut writes in the configuration file (Win8.1SE.cfg here) which is used by shortcuts.exe at startup.

Win8.1SE.cfg example:

Shortly, shortcuts.exe is fully compatible with Macro Library and scripts around, not Pecmd.

Second is to add keys under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\NTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components" to make windows to think first run customizations done for that feature (I prefer)

Third is to add all files and let windows do the all customizations. But will need the all the files (space consuming), will make windows to consume more time (registering dll's) (As you do)

Win8.1SE uses ADK for Win8.1, it is unfortunately not compatible with Windows XP, 2003 and Vista HostOS . A check was added.

Improvements, changes and additions:

Main script: bouton added with the list of Official Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluation 32 and 64 bit.

Images configuration: Check compatible HostOS.

1 - Copy Files: Servicing added for drivers integration.

2 - Shell & Config: Pin to StartMenu compatible with StartIsBack and Classicshell now. Thanks neon2m.

There is a concern between VirtualBox script and Win8.1SE currently. It works by calling the ISO directly in VirtualBox. It is in good hands.

Following the addition of 1-Pin.script, compatible with Win7 & Win8pese, you can manually delete the old 1-Pin8.script.
