ok, someone said i may find help here, i hope i dont get flagged, i dunno how off topic i am, i would like some help the problem is : i have a sound card, who's company is no longer in business which doesnt have vista or 7 drivers. and i'd like to use the card, and so would a lot of people. the source is unavailable. im a game designer... i've never done a driver... and i'd like to one of these things and i need a mentor. 1) somehow reverse engineer the driver from scratch. 2) make some form of computability software ... like a virtual machine?? 3) make something that would convert non vista/7 drivers in general to vista/7 the sound card was a $2000 card when they were on the market... and has great features, but the problem is more wide spread than this one card.... so, im hoping some old hat can learn me a thing or two .... haters and pessimists need not reply... if you know someone refer me...
