  1. updated to v1.0.7

    for own languages:

    - replace the .mui files in IE8.cab with your own

    - replace the .chm files in root and inetres.adm with your localized

    - copy your localized [strings] sektion to IE.INF

    - modify in IE8.inf the following lines:

    Copy.IEM.Local = 17,"IEM\0407"

    Copy.IE.Local = 16422,"Internet Explorer\de-DE"

    Copy.Sys32.Local = 11,"de-DE"

    and insert your language..

    for example 0409 and en-US

    thanks, i'll try it asap

  2. To tell it "loud & clear": It`s not a bug of nLite - it`s a MS-"Feature": http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950722

    nLite does nothing more than /integrate SP3 into the source.

    Notice that it says "can" and not "will." "Can" implies that the problem may or may not occur.
    This issue can occur if you used the /integrate command in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008 to slipstream Windows XP SP3.
    So the contradicting reports kind of make sense.

    thanks for explaining black means the subject is black :)

  3. bviktor, in this forum, you can nowhere without a valid key. Please see the forum rules at the top. The forum does not allow discussion of hacked Windows and using boot legged keys. Enjoy, John.

    i in now way mentioned hacked keys, so please don't blame me for something i haven't done. i was talkin about older and newer keys. one can have more of them you know.

  4. bviktor, I see a point in seeing your Last Session. That is why I asked for it. It should be located in the nLite\Presets folder in your Program Files folder and will contain a date code. As I asked before, ATTACH, not paste your Last Session and Winnt.ini. Use the Browse... and UPLOAD buttons. Please also look at my response to your post on the thread about CD keys. Thanks and enjoy, John.

    okay, i think i will replay the experiment coz there are a lot of sessions so i will try to clean things up ASAP, and a retry may prove me wrong. will see.

  5. bviktor, I have no such problem. Please attach (not paste) your entire winnt.sif (BE SURE to obscure your private data, like key and PWs) and, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.

    i've tried all day and the solution is described above ;) and all the conditions you mentioned are met.

    this is the current one. the failing one differs only in the lines described earlier.

    i can't attach my session file coz i always delete it; otherwise it would make it into the iso which i really don't want. i may be able to reproduce it, but i see no point, coz the manual editing was that solved it, no other modification was made.

  6. i set up workgroup and some other stuff in unattended section

    but during install it will ask for workgroup, even though in i386/winnt.sif:

    [Networking]
    InstallDefaultComponents="Yes"

    [Identification]
    JoinWorkgroup="WORKGROUP"

    the order seems to be the problem. if i switch them, such as

    [Identification]
    JoinWorkgroup="WORKGROUP"

    [Networking]
    InstallDefaultComponents="Yes"

    then it works fine, it won't ask network-related questions during install.

  7. same error here. the reason is that ms changed the key algo somewhere between sp1 and sp2. additionally, in the earlier versions it was impossible to go further without a valid key. so try with an earlier key (or if you did, then with a newer one), and see what happens. it solved my problem.
