I would just like to start an RFID Topic here where anyone with questions about applications, how it works, difference between NFC and RFID. These are used as smart barcodes in IMS/WMS ( Inventory Management Systems / Warehouse management systems ) My first exposure to RFID technology was back in 2006 where i designed and built an RFID based access system - written in Assembly. For which i won an award. Now i am still implementing an RFID complemented system for inventory that has already been fitted to over 2 million items for inventory management. Different countries have different regulations related to RFID which must be adhered to.

Yo, did you try with the PCB totally off the drive? i'm in perth and did two drives yesterday for a mate n they worked sweet. coulda done a third but they had already paid $1200 to sum recovery place.

Hiya All... Thanks for these instructions Gradius and others for their refinement. Personally i used a XILINX FPGA to emulate the serial connection and to output at 3.3V. worked a treat. no messing around with IC's Next is to make it automated or single button operation to fix LBA0 or BSY. Output to VGA. I know, over kill. A $150.00 bit of kit cmp to the $9.00 RS232 to TTL converter. THanks again saved us BIG $$$.
