Hi Problem solved! Thanks a lot for your kind help guys! Here's what I did: Tried extracting the files with jZip but it want to extract anything. Tried extracting the file with IZarc to C:\Temp\Vcredist\ gave an error and the installation didn't work Extracted with Winrar to C:\Temp\Vcredist\ and that worked fine! Double clicked on Setup.exe This error came up: Windows installer: "The feature you are trying to use is in a network resource that is unavailable." Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'vc_red.msi' in the box below. There was a browse option next to the box so I browsed to C:\Temp\Vcredist\vc_red.msi and then did the installation work! Cheers Perra

Hi The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (vcredist_x86.exe) is a sfx cab file so I renamed to vcredist_x86.cab and opened it. But I couldn't extract it since all foldernames in the cab start with .\.\.\ Should I create folders manually first and then extract the files to their respective folder or how should I do? Thanks! Hi I need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to be able to install Avira Free antivirus. But the installation doesn't work. Hi Installed Windows XP and driver version 66.93 and problems solved. I tried all these Windows 98 drivers: 81.98 77.72 71.84 66.94, 66.42 61.76 61.21 60.86 And they all gave problems when running games. I guess that Nvidia never was too concerned about making good Windows 98 drivers for the GeForce 6800 video card. Driver Cleaner Professional 1.5 can also be used in Windows 98. Yes I have tested 77.72, but it was the same as the others. According to that link is Driver Cleaner Professional 1.5 not for Windows 98. OS: Windows 2K/XP/2003 I've run a uninstaller program called Trash it which scans the HD and registry first. Then I install the drivers and scan again and save the result. The Nvidia uninstaller does a rather good job though. Then I clean the registry manually. Cheers Perra

OK, in that case have they forgotten in all Readmes for the Win98 drivers I've tested. I checked driver 81.95 for WinXP and no ones from the Geforce 6 series where mentioned there either. The strange thing is that I have problems running all games I've tested and the previous video card worked perfectly. The games I've tested work with these games in WindowsXP AFAIK. Hi I have put in a Geforce 6800 AGP video card on my Windows 98SE computer, but I haven’t been able to find any supported drivers for that card on the Nvidia site. If you select GeForce 6 and Windows 98 on the Nvidia site the drivers listed don’t have GeForce 6800 listed as a supported video card in the readme file. I’ve tested these driver versions: 81.98 71.84 66.94, 66.42 61.76 61.21 60.86 It is possible to install the drivers but they give a lot of problems. Windows protection error, games don’t work, programs don’t work, Dxdiag errors etc. Are there any supported or usable Windows 98SE drivers for a GeForce 6800 video card? Cheers Perra
