Have you tryed to upgrade the firmware? In my case, after recovery with BSY metod, the hard drive was fully working... Download appropriate firmware and upgrade it. http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/self...&NewLang=en I don't know if you can upgrade via USB... Try to connect HD direct to motherboard. Good luck

Yes, it work, I used a compatible cable. No battery, only molex (hd power connector) and nokia usb cable.

I have fix the drive! I have a Maxtor STM3500320AS 500Gb Firmware MX15 not recognized by BIOS, so I think BSY problem. Use this Guide for BSY I have used Nokia cable CA-42, and hyperterminal. If your motherboard support only sataI 150Mbps remember to set the bringe between the tho pin after you have fixed the drive. Tomorow I will post how use CA-42 with photo. I think that the use of nokia cable CA-42 is the most cheap solution for all, it's simply and fast. Thank you at all people for the support
