Thanks everyone for your answers, I'll try to make a DVD one more time. Can anyone compare the Setup.exe's from CD and DVD versions? What's interesting - game installs correctly. It doesn't ask anything unexpected, no errors, everything's fine. Uninstalls also without any troubles. Just doesn't want to run. I installed latest patches, no effect...
-
That's not the way I want it to be. Why I'd like to have one DVD instead of 6 CDs is to install it at once, without the need to change disks 6 times and be sitting in front of monitor waiting for game to ask me to insert next one.
-
Hi everyone! Does anyone know some method to convert 6-cd game into a dvd? Just writing the contents of all cds into one root folder doesn't work. It installs but doesn't start, crashing with an error. I failed to find any guide to make it. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance! B)

Because it isn't DX9-compatible. It doesn't have hardware support for DX9. Though, I play PainKiller on my old GF4 4200 card and it doesn't complain... That is strange...

Hi, glent! Thanks for very informative reference script. I've got some questions about it. 1) Why for INNO Setups you've got double parameters? Example: cmd1[pn]=['%CDROM%\\software\\benchmark\\sandra\\setup.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART /SP- /NORESTART /SP-'] 2) Why you kill msiexec? Doesn't it stop itself after installation is done? Example: cmd1[pn]=['%CDROM%\\software\\antivirus\\MCaffee\\VSE800.MSI /QB-!'] cmd2[pn]=['%CDROM%\\software\\System\\pskill\\pskill.exe msiexec.exe'] And, besides, if I were you, I'd remove any legal-related info from it before posting. Like this: cmd1[pn]=['%CDROM%\\software\\antivirus\\nod\\setup.exe /silentmode'] cmd2[pn]=['%CDROM%\\software\\antivirus\\nod\\nod32fix.exe'] Hope you understand what I mean -
Happy birthday, XPize and thanks XPero for it Hope, after finishing XPize you won't lose your enthusiasm and point it on something not less beautiful and useful

[How To] Unattended RIS Installations
-= Mancubus =- replied to RogueSpear's topic in Unattended RIS Installation
RogueSpear, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this guide. I didn't try it yet to make a RIS, but I feel like I've done it already. Everything is clear and plain. Only one notice. nuhi insists to not use his tool (nLite) in corporative environment by means of profit. If you use it to ease your work - pay for it. In case of nLite - donate. Well, it's his right, am I right?... -

Yeah, I agree, glent, logo is too big and, maybe, it should be more plain... -

It's too lilac, as for me. Blue would be better. -
Integrating slovenian language in windows cd
-= Mancubus =- replied to webmajstr's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
You should install it from cmdlines.txt with the following parameters [COMMANDS] ".\WinMUI\muisetup.exe /i 0419 /d 0419 /l /f /r /s" Replace 0419 with your language code. Your MUI folder should be in $OEM$ folder. -
I have a trouble setting Regional Settings, not Keyboard layouts. They don't depend on each other, do they? I've tried everything found in forums, either here or at Russian UA Windows site forums. Nothing helped. USA rules the world! @what3v3r I'll try the method you've suggested. I've exported those three paths, and edited registry hives inf-s accordingly to apply my settings by default. We'll see how it'll work in an hour I'll report the result. -------- Report. Finally! It worked flawlessly! Thanks a lot

nLited Windows doesn't want to install drivers
-= Mancubus =- replied to -= Mancubus =-'s topic in Device Drivers
So.... Checked it. Installed CLEAN Windows, even manually integrated SP2. No change - the adapter wasn't installed Don't understand what happened.... Any ideas? It worked flawlessly before, I mean - there were no problems installing its drivers at all... Though I didn't use it. -
I'm trying to trace a problem, from where it comes. Maybe someone will help me?... The idea to post a question here comes from this topic, where guy describes his trouble (with monitor driver), which is very similar to mine: For the moment I am unable to install a driver for one of two integrated on MB LAN adapters by Realtek. My nLited WinXPSP2 sees this device, but is unable to install drivers for it, neither ones I try. Before it installed them from nForce drivers pack without any problems. The other issue I encountered on was on another PC with another nLited WinXP (w\o SP), where it was unable to find sound device and modem, and either installed drivers with errors or didn't install them at all, saying, that it didn't find any device in driver folder I pointed to. All drivers were downloaded from vendors sites... The question is: may it be caused by nLite? I am unsure, because I didn't test it installing both usual XP and nLited one on the same comp. Did anyone met the same troubles? I am sorry for my English, hope it's understandable
-
Hmmmm.... It gives me some idea about what happened with my second network adapter driver (my MB is EPOX EP-8RDA3G, and Dual LAN is "onboard RealTek RTL8201BL PHY and RealTek RTL8101L"), that worked with original Windows installation and its driver failed to install some clean installs ago and still is. Now I think it's someway related to nLiting WinXP. Gotta try to make a clean install and check, is it really working or device is dead... And I had a strange trouble with installing modem on another nLited WinXP... Maybe those cases are related, huh?
-
Then you should ask for help in appropriate topic, not here. Surely someone will help you. Sorry - not me for the moment, 'cause I'm not able to test anything now.

First of all - search the forum, pal... Simple: here is the link to Office Shrinker
