  1. This is a link that a user placed on the seagate forum, but was deleted. I just wanted to share it for others to see. You may or may not have seen it, but here it goes. http://it.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=109...mp;cid=26542735
  2. i believe it is official, although no action has been documented to have taken place as of yet. The word is spreading fast, and even my administrator heard of it and has now informed me as well. A magazine company that i contacted also notified me of the recent news. They asked me to keep them up to date, with regards to how everything actually turns out. We will see, because if they do jerk people around, then it will surely be in articles world wide. Although, I don't think that will happen, or at least i hope it won't.
  3. data recovery is gonna be free from seagate!!! Woo hoo.
  4. Sup guys, I contacted several mag companies, just to spread the word and i have gotten one reply thus far. This was also posted on the seagate forum, but obviously it got removed. Go Figure! Hi, Jose. I’ve tried to contact Seagate’s PR rep about this (and a related article I found on The Inquirer), but I haven’t heard back yet. I’ll let you know if I do. Sounds like the issue is too huge for Seagate to ignore, for what it’s worth. I would be surprised if they don’t make an official statement soon, if they haven’t already. Let’s cross our fingers that they have a plan to help their customers. Hang in there... Best regards,
