  1. Thanks for posting this. I didn't realize this was a problem until I read your post.

But indeed this seems to be a problem. Thanks again.

BTW I usually run as a Limited user with Automatic Updates Elevate non-Admins.

But I'm seeng this problem when I'm running as Administrator also.

  2. nuhi,

I just had to post a big "Thank You!"

You've really outdone yourself with this latest "Final" release.

The thing that really put it over the top was the "Unattended Repair Prompt mode" option.

That was a stroke of Genius. :thumbup I also really like the "Elevate Non-Admins" on Automatic Updates.

    Thank you!!!

  3. I hope this doesn't sound like a complaint, just a bug report.

After loading last session.ini it looks like all is saved from the last session,

except the Regional Settings/Timezone. It is blank and needs resetting.

On the positive side, Automatic Updates (Elevate Non-Admins checked) seems to

work when I am logged in as Limited User account. :thumbup

    You da Man Nuhi !

  4. Here is Last Session.ini (attached)

I don't believe I removed anything the affects MU.

In fact, I can access MU when running as Administrator.

I did integrate Ryan's Update Pack and a few other packs using Ryan's Integrator before nLite.

  5. I can't get Automatic Updates to work when running as "Limited" user.

I have it set to "notify before downloading and installing" and "Elevate Non-Admins".

I need workstations to run as Non-Admins for security reasons.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is it a known bug?

I tried the registry edit that allows Non-Admins to go to MU, but it didn't work either.

    Thanks. nLite Rocks!!! :thumbup

  6. Not a complaint, cuz maybe it's that way on purpose.

When I load last session, all previous settings are loaded except Time Zone.

Also, before you call it final... Visual Styles still don't work.

Not high on my priorities, but would be pretty kewl if they worked.

    nLite Rocks nuhi :thumbup

  7. I concur, it's probably related to some registry tweak. I leave all my Services alone. I only ran my latest test install a couple of times because of some results with which I wasn't happy, except the disabled Stand By button. I use RyanVM's latest update pack and various addons, all of which I use RVM_Integrator_1.4.1 to intigrate and then use nLite to remove, tweak and create unattended ISO's. Looks like I'll be going back to create some variables to narrow down the cause.

Edit: Just found the answer :thumbup

  8. I've been searching for a way to disable the yellow "Stand By" button from the Welcome Screen.

My last nLited Installation had this done without my knowing how. Was this just a Fluke?

Is there a registry tweak that will allow me to do this on purpose?

I found a VBS script at Kelly's Korner , but that didn't work. If sombody knows how to do this or why nLite did this I would sure appreciate knowing. Thanks.

  9. Hi, I looked but I didn't find any posts that address this problem.

I used to make unattended Installation discs using * (star) as computer name.

That way I could rename different computers accordingly on Local Area Network.

I cannot type that star character with nLite-1.2b. All other characters type okay.

I left it blank and the installation stopped at T-36 (I think  ).

Did I miss something in instructions? Is this a new "Feature"?

Please help. I really count on that wildcard Computer Name option.

Thanks. BTW I like the new UI. Keep up the good work!

nLite Rocks nuhi!!! You da Man!
