  1. Getting quite bored with the default type of styles, was wondering if anyone has their favourite Windows 7 theme? I need an update but I've googled a few times and found average looking ones at best.
  2. Never heard of this at all as I really haven't used Hamachi for quite sometime either but I had issues with it quite a bit. I'll give it a go later on
  3. Hi again! Seems I've been naughty and not come back for sometime! Hopefully I might have some spare time to hang around here again Hope people who knew me are still living here
  4. Well back again, no luck on that either. I really don't get it. I've got a new laptop and while it can connect to my router for the internet, it still won't let me access my network at all. Theres no password and still get a denied message. Last resort I guess is formating the problem computer but I really don't want to do that as theres too much stuff I'd have to reinstall. Any other ideas?
  5. Nah I already tried that, only has my Messenger credentials. I seemingly cannot find a way of clearing it or atleast bringing up the prompt, frustrating me
  6. It doesn't apply to vista i'm afraid, so no progress Anything else?
  7. Hi guys, simple problem I hope When I connected to my other computer on my network, it prompted me for a password. There wasn't one set as I put it up and I stupidly after attempt a password, clicked on the saving the password so I don't have to retype it or be prompted again, bad mistake. Is there a way to clear that password away?? Now it instantly denies me access as it has a password set and a wrong one at that. Any help would be greatful.
  8. Well it seemed to be any site I use with it but yeah it seems to only happen with this particular website. Waiting for their reply, thanks for the help
  9. Packet sniffing then? Well I just made a transaction via https/ssl but when I've tried to login or pay for a product that happening to be using ASPX I just can't get it to get through. What am I looking to dump?
  10. Anyone? Its now affecting my main computer and isp has no issues as my friend across the street can use sites eg asite.com/login.aspx. It just seems to timeout or do nothing.
  11. I've had this issue today. Any site using aspx pages and require login it wont login and timeout. Im on a network as my main computer has no issues viewing and logging in. I tried both Chrome and IE so its not a program problem.
  12. it changed a few times. at times belkin seems to be lower then the others. usually(I used another modem with it before) I still had access to the Belkins router config but i just cant seem to get in. Any suggestions?
  13. Thanks for the fast reply. I have a Belkin F5D7230-4. InSSIDer picked up 4 signals in my area, two of them mine. RSSI for my DLink goes from 80-86, my Belkin was sitting at 90-100. One of the signals that isnt mine is using the same channel as my Belkin, I'd change the channel but I'm unable to access the router config page. I'm really lost at why I cannot since the IP assigned to it allows pinging. Both router and router/modem have APs but they are different channels.
  14. I've dealt mainly with ASUS and Gigabyte. Both I liked for different reasons but I have had a few niggles with more recent ASUS Boards so for me Gigabyte.
  15. It would be like binning an Atari 2600 I still have original cases/boxes/disks to many OS's and consoles. Not just for they might be worth something in money, but just a reminder how it all started out
  16. Well if it was a known issue and sent you the same thing knowing it wouldn't work, get your money back and simply find one that is compatible. As for the tech support, you will rarely find a networking brand that doesn't have terrible support. My belkin that I have redirected me to a Toll Free for my region number support. I rang and was redirected to New Delhi so unless New Delhi is apart of Australia? Its just one of the biggest problems of these networking brands, poor support. They couldn't tell me why the router wasn't working even with explaining my step by step on how I was using it and could only keep offering me a new router(there wasnt anything wrong with it, it was just the software they supplied). So I know your pains.
  17. Hey guys, I've got a DLink DSLG604T as I needed a modem router with a wireless connection. I have noticed that at times the wireless is less then impressive with all my wireless products(Wii, Laptops) but I've got a Belkin Wireless Router that I've had for a few years and I want to be able to use this just as my wireless network and just let my Dlink act as modem and connection for my main computer. So I connected the router to my router/modem in the correct ethernet ports(Belkin modem port to Dlink port with Dlink connected to my computer ethernet card). All the lights on both aren't flicking and seem to have no problems being connected, I can even ping the IP assigned. Problem is my wireless can connect but drops pretty much straight away and I cannot access the Belkin IP for router config page(192.168.x.x) I've tried every possible Belkin IP for it and just timeouts every time. I've heard I need to possibly bridge these connections together? I've got little idea on the next step so I can get what I want to happen. Any help would be great. Thanks
  18. Why not buy a complete laptop with a quad core to avoid problems with the BIOS? Physically it would fit but the BIOS must have the microcode to work with the quad core plus the power section of the laptop, e.g. the voltage regulator on the motherboard and the PSU, needs to support the load. I have to agree with that. Every laptop these days are more or less build around each manufactorers case design and in all honesty aren't designed to be upgraded other then the memory size of things. I would say its much more wise and save a hassle by purchasing a ready made quad core laptop.
  19. Common sense is all good when dealing with your own PC. I doubt anyone here really have any problems with their persnal computers and malware. Problem is, however, the non-technical folks who have no clue and rely on their ISP/OEM etc. to provide security solutions. Most of us here probably know some, and have to help them on occasion. Well, maybe some gulliable people out there yes. They just have to get up with the times
  20. Spybot S+D for me. Never had problems with it nor have I had any sort of malware installed. Like others, its down to common sense on your part to keep it clean
  21. http://www.codeplex.com/managedwifi Try this place for a start, it might help a little.
  22. I would drop the .Net I like your long term goals, other ones other then a name and icons aren't really something to strive for
  23. I used to use Firefox but with Chrome I'm using it a lot more and find it just cleaner and more sleak.
