  1. I'll stick with the PXE Menu for the DOS Diagnostics. Thanks for your help.
  2. Thanks jaclaz. I think WinKexec is exactly what i need, but it seems that it doesn't work with WinPE 4.0. When i send a reboot command, the PC freezes.
  3. Hello. I'm using pxelinux to load my winpe.iso (3.1 and 4.0). I've also an HTA menu. I want to add some diagnostic tools through my HTA menu. I can use any Windows tool (Western Digital Dalalife Guard, Seatools etc). Now i want to be able to run DOS tool (Memtest86+, Windows Memory Diagnostic etc). I was thinking that if i could "quit" winpe without rebooting and continue to pxelinux memdisk i could load the diagnostics somehow. So, is there a way to "quit" winpe without rebooting? Any other suggestions? PS I already can run the DOS tools through my pxelinux menu, but i want to use my WinPE + HTA menu instead.
  4. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd919224%28WS.10%29.aspx I have my singed drivers on a network folder \\network\install\Drivers7 I have already insert the needed certificates. I have added the network path to the DevicePath key: REG ADD "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion" /v DevicePath /d "%SystemRoot%\inf;\\network\install\Drivers7" /t reg_expand_sz /f When i try to scan for new hardware... "No driver found" If i copy my drivers to a local folder and change the DevicePath key, everything works great! REG ADD "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion" /v DevicePath /d "%SystemRoot%\inf;D:\Drivers7" /t reg_expand_sz /f The account I'm logged in, belongs to Administrators local group. I've also tried while logged in as Administrator. My Network Location is set to "Home Network". I've also tried changing the LAN Manger authentication level through local group policy. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance
  5. Just tested on a clean windows installation. No it doesn't work. You see, on a clean windows installation, [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Multimedia\Sound Mapper] and [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\MIDIMap] doesn't exists. If i set only the "PreferredOnly" value, windows does not create the other values ("Playback", "Record" etc) On a machine that has already checked the checkbox, your registry value works fine ("PreferredOnly"=1, enabled - "PreferredOnly"=0, disabled) Thanks for your time.
  6. Hi everybody. Is there a way to set silently "use only default devices" on Audio properties? I know that these are the registry keys: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Multimedia\Sound Mapper] "Playback"="SB Live! Audio [AC00]" "PreferredOnly"=dword:00000001 "SetupPreferredAudioDevicesCount"=dword:00000000 "Record"="SB Live! Audio [AC00]" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\MIDIMap] "DeviceInterface"="\\\\?\\pci#ven_1102&dev_0002&subsys_80401102&rev_08#4&13699180&0&4048#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\\syntha" "szPname"="SB Live! Synth A [AC00]" "RelativeIndex"=dword:00000000 "SetupPreferredAudioDevicesCount"=dword:00000000 As you can see, the values depends on hardware. Anybody knows a cmd command / utilty that does this job? Or perhaps a Windows API / WMI code? PS I don't want an autoit script. PS2 I want to do this on many PCs, so i can't just make a reg file for every one of them.
  7. Yes, i could see it from the Task Manager but not in Add/Remove Programs. Anyway, with the new 20090820_SNMsynth, i was able to create a working package! Thanks for your time.
