I'm sure everyone knows what problem I'm talking about here... I've been on google for about 6 hours now and about 300 reboots later I figured i'd finally ask for some help. ehshell.exe crashes everytime I run MCE 2005 Rollup 2. Before the rollup, it worked fine. Trying to install the update automatically failed due to the hotfix errors, so I installed manually after extracting all the files. Then it installed fine and I got the ehshell.exe failure after about 3-5 seconds of the program running. Then I uninstalled everything (wmp11, .net 1.1 sp1, rollup 2) Then the automatic update worked.. but the software did the same thing, 3-5 seconds working fine then the 'Application has generated and exception blah blah blah' error popped up. I've tried the October 2006 rollup update also, but the same thing. I'm going absolutely nuts I just bought an expensive TV tuner specifically for this but it just won't work for me...
