  1. i would say its probly your motherboard, but id take it into your local pc shop, they can hook up testers & stuff so u can have the right diagnosis for a small fee, my local shop charges 15 bucks to do that.. so its not too much :)

u can remove stuff , like harddrive & videocard, it will post or give a beep saying that those are missing, but it will rule those things out for u

  2. k, so I'm fairly new to WPI, but i get it to run by adding it to Setupcomplete.cmd but it seems half my programs are failing to install properly under this

but if i run WPI AFTER im logged in it works fine, any way to get around this?

how do i add programs to runonce in vista? is it in the WAIK?

EDIT: this is in vista, testing on vmware

  3. chill out cupcake.

pretty sure he was just trying to help you.

if u dont like the suggestions people give to u, i would look elsewhere, no need to be rude/ignorant

lol no need to bash people.. it could be something even on your end..

i just tried to download the installer again from nuhi's site, works fine.. i chose mirror 2 of the installer just randomly & it downloaded the full file fine, checksum is ok aswell. anyways, instead of pointing fingers, just say u had to use an alternate download site & thats what solved your issue.

maybe try using a download manager, Free Download Manager works well with all browsers AFAIK.

  4. im sorry, but that post was really hard for me to decipher. explain better please

you integrated SP1, but u cant get it to show up through vlite? when u install it in your VMware or realPC its not recognized either because farcry says so? have u tried to right click "my computer" & check to see if it says its there under properties (u can also go there through control panel > "system")

did u try to manually slipstream the servicepack?

  5. just my $0.02 but why not allow your daughter to use MSN messenger? u can customize it a bit with A-Patch for MSN messenger.

this could be a good learning experience about the computer for her.. teach her to respect it & to not just show her webcam to just anyone, maybe a couple of her close friends when your there to supervise..

again just my .02 cents..but if she goes to a friends, im sure their parents wouldnt be close to supervise, so she has to learn sometime right? better to do it in the safety of the home :P but u dont even say how old she is, but my post was in refrence to a teenager. :)

anyways, good luck with your decision.. if i had to pick another IM client tho, it'd be trillian.

  6. hey. i just tried this, nice app..

    i have a feature request

I was thinking about maybe having the program check the same folder it resides in for the executable antispyware file (maybe have it check for specific names of files or something?) it could save time too rather than downloading something when u can maybe run the program from CD & have it install all the programs it finds in the directory it runs from & if it doesnt, download whatever it needs to.

if your not sure of what I mean, I'll try to restate it better.. cuz even I'm not sure that makes sense lol

edit: maybe download & run Johndoe74's silent .cab files he makes for nlite? just a thought or hardcode the switches in your app for these programs? :)

    but i think it'd be a cool idea :P

  7. this doesnt solve your WMP problem, but its an alternative solution.

what if u try another burning software? something like CDBurnerXP (free) or Nero (30 day trial)

theres MANY others too, but they r fairly popular alternatives

    Possible Solution?

have you tried to upgrade your firmware? I found a thread saying it solved his problem

  8. maybe it has something to do with the sp2 swedish & the sp3 u integrated over it? (is it english version or swedish version of the SP3) ?

try to redo your iso/source & test in VMware using an IDE drive..

try making your XP disc with integrating SP3 & testing on vmware?

  9. do u have vmware-authd.exe running? for some reason i was getting BSODs & random restarts when it was running.. i havent gotten any since i upgraded to the latest version tho.. maybe this works for u too?

EDIT: did u check your event logs?
