  2. i have the same problem, about ~500mb of drivers (fullcd it's ~600mb) i think it can be reduced a lot because if u only use drivers it won't be necessary to add the sound controls, extensions, equalizers etc... someone in the forum it's working in it, wish he finish it as soon as he can
  3. thx for the answers x86, the problem is that the 2) show all hidden files and folders tweak does not work, maybe i need run it in a later time of the install process because it's overwritten when the user log in (?) anyone knows the tweks for 1) 3) 6) ???
  4. i wonder if someone help me with this tweaks in the registry for my unattended installation: 1)how to autoalign icons in the desktop (i hate recycle bin in the right side and the rest of icons in the left side) 2)show all hidden files and folders (i tried to export my settings from [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams] but it doesn't seem to work) 3)change icon sizes from 32x32 to 48x48 or **x** (can't find the correct setting in the registry) 4)remove the sound control from the taskbar (i remember i saw it somewhere in this forum but search does not work and i can't find it again) 5)double clic on a folder opens explorer view in that folder (double panel view) 6)change my user picture to whatever 48x48 .bmp i like (again i remember read this in that forum) thanks to all and please answer as more questions as u can
  5. of course Bâshrat i can't sent it to u but the thx console it's updated and ready to download in creative.com. the file it's named SBA2_WEBUP_THXCON_1_00_16.exe and if u can't find it in the creative site try looking first in filemirrors and later in google
  6. i've got the hacked audigy 2 zs drivers too. and the size of the whole cd it's ~600mb so i think u can't slipstream all the package so anyone have extracted only the audigy2 drivers from the whole cd ??? have anyone the drivers+updates slipstreamed ??? maybe putting them in \XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Drivers ???
  7. hi, i was testing an offcice2003 unattended install and it works, the problem is that i want to slipstream it in an unattended xp. the final size of the full installation it's ~600mb so i can't burn windows+office. later i have a big idea: all the install in a RAR SFX and execute after the setup command line and another time it worked!! . now the final package it's 227 MB (238.501.141 bytes) but another time it's too big. can someone help me to remove unuseful components of a standart office?? for example support for languages, cliparts, examples, helpers... etc or simply deleting Access, Powerpoint or Infopath
  8. i was looking for tweaks to customize my xp in an unattended install. anyone know how to use a reg file to modify the 20% bandwidth reserve for QoS
  9. lot of thx. u help me a lot and excuse i'm a newbie on this
  10. i didn't mean what you think. i'm building a fulll unattended installation and the only thing i want to select it's the partition and filesystem i want to use. in a full unattended install the dialog that let u select update or new installation doesn't display so your not able to select the unit of destination, it automatically takes the unit C: and updates it to winxp. (sorry about my english maybe that it's why u can't understand what i mean )
  11. sorry maybe i didn't explain to well. what i want is run the installation from w98se (c:) and install xp updating w98 or the posibility of selecting an unallocated space (D:) to install a clean/new SO. all with the dialog of filesystem format. thanks
  12. now that i have learned a lot about automatic installation processes i have a new question. when in the winnt.sif file i add... [Data] AutoPartition=0 [unattended] FileSystem=* ...and then test it in a system running w98se, install automatically updates my system to xp and don't let me choose a new installation in other HardDisk. what i want is to select only the HD and filesystem in the installation process. i include my winnt.sif file for review. thanks ;SetupMgrTag [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattend OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS Repartition=No UnattendSwitch="yes" WaitForReboot=No DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore FileSystem=* [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=* EncryptedAdminPassword=NO OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=105 OemSkipWelcome=1 [userData] ProductKey=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX FullName="BioHaZaRD" OrgName="BioHaZaRD iND. 13. what do u mean?? i start the installation running directly the winnt32.exe. another question i forgot: it's necessary to have the winnt.bat file in the main i386 (it was when i try install and it appear to don't load anything anyway)
  14. first this is my first post, thank u to all of you because make this lot of easier. i follow the guide "unattended xp cd" from this site but now that it's hour to test i found a problem. i use my other pc running w98se, copy the installation cd to it's hard disk and select "advanced installation" (no update). the problem it's start asking the cdkey that i also include in the winnt.sif and i'm sure the file it's correct in sintaxis. it's the winnt.sif only loaded on autoboot?? why it don't work running windows?? another time thank u all
