    Update Win 7, or Not ?

    For several years I've chosen a totally different procedure to ensure the functioning of my Windows 7 SP1, as follows:
    1.- Deactivate any kind of updates until you are sure that you need one. Many updates may not be a need for you and even have collateral unwanted effects.
    2 .- Use an external USB to run Windows 7 PE and Just Manager or Free Commander as file manager to save a copy of the whole operating system into a partition of an external HDD  (just copy and paste) and another one of all your user files into a different one. When you introduce changes into your OS or into any of your folders you may format the corresponding partition and create a new copy, or simply update the modified folders or files by deleting the copied one and copy/paste the new one.

    In case of need you may run again Windows PE from the external USB and any of both file managers to rebuild any damaged or modified file or folder, or even format and restore the whole OS or all your folders in a few minutes.

    Fast and easy.

    I also use the same security procedure for Windows 10 with excellent results .

    You may open MSFN at any Android device (mobile phone or tablet) and click on that link to download the file into the device downloads folder. After that you may connect the device to your computer and extract the downloaded file to be used under Windows.

    I already disabled Avast AV and firewall (Firewall App Blocker 1.6) and retry but same thing. This may be caused for something else blocking that address on my side.

    The only adress I know is http://bit.ly/25Y2kII (the one I used), I´m afraid.  I´ve searched another download adress but could not find anyone else. 

    Try to download from that adress using a different computer.

    Since their change of directive it seems that Microsoft has forgotten that they depend on customers, and that "customer is always right". 

    Among their clients there are billions of business terminals and professional computers used for the most diverse economic activities, but never for games or as toys for fun. Nowadays Microsoft sells an operating system which is becoming more and more like a game to to let time go by. 

    Someone said "You can fool many people for a short time, or a few people for a long time, but it is impossible to fool many people for a long time."

    They should open their eyes wide and respect everybody interests by offering a Windows 7 based OS for professionals and a different OS adapted to the needs of mobile users.
