  1. Hi all - thanks for opening this topic up! We use a manufacturing system called Syteline. We have a process that on error, sends an email to a group. For me (in the admin group) it runs successfully. For the convential user, it fails. After opening the window advising that a program is attempting to send an email (user can select ok to this and for how long)... The error appears - "Error adding attachment". The syteline process completes, "with errors" but these are not emailed out as they should be. Our ERP supplier has said that the reason this is happening is because their is a setting [somewhere] in Exchange that allows 3rd party software to email out. I have hunted through the users settings, and group settings within exchange but cannot find such a setting. Is anyone familiar with this setting? Thanks Simon
  2. Morning all We have a network using exchange 2000, and the users have Outlook 2000 and 97. Some of our users are mobile, and while away from the office clear their email by going on-line, and then clicking on Outlook. Our ISP then authenicates them, and passes them into outlook. They clear their emails, and log off. The problem is arrising, when off-line, they then hit the "reply" button, and attempt to reply to an email that was sent from someone within the network. When they go back online again, the email is returned, with the message saying: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: FW: Intinerary Sent: 11/20/02 8:17 AM The following recipient(s) could not be reached: Alastair McLaren on 11/20/02 8:17 AM The e-mail address could not be found. Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail organization, or there was a mistake in the address. Check the address and try again. <Doc.sleepyhead.co.nz #5.1.0> If they simply type the users address in the "TO" field, the email is delivered. If they reply while online, it is delivered. The problem only occurs when off-line. Can anyone offer any reasons why this is occuring, and what we could do to fix. Thanks
  3. Thanks very much - the link has given me a place to start and download some software to help diagnose the memory dump.
  4. Hi everyone...I have a PC that has just started having problems as it boots into the network. This morning it failed 4 times, and then booted successfully. I looked at the event viewer, and received the following message... "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xe1e1a000,0x00000000, 0x804019f2,0x00000001). Micrsoft Windows 2000[v15.2195]. A dump was saved in C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini103102-03.dmp" Has anyone struck this before...or have any suggestions? The OS is 2000 Belongs to a netware server, and is attaching to a WAN Thanks Simon Davies

  6. Hi all... I have been reading some of the postings on a variety of subjects, and something I have noticed (and admired) are some of the moving and animated pictures that appear beneath the posters name. Can anyone advise where to go to make these settings within my MSFN profile? Would love to look as "cool" as the rest of you!! Signed Boring at the moement!
  7. Thanks very much Tinker for your commments (and experiements). All noted and taken on board Simon
  8. Hi there...we have a server that has two network cards within it. The plan was that one would be a back up encase the primary fails - but both are active and send data out. Recently talking to our ISP, he mentioned that it is possible in HP servers to "team Adapters", so that one sits and does nothing until the primary fails, and then it takes over. This way, our ISP only needs to configure 1 IP address for our firewall. Has anyone heard of this? If so, can they advise if they know of any problems this may cause. Also, where would this configuration be made, as I have been into the hardware settings for the cards and not found anything that looks like the setting to adjust. Many thanks - and have a great day Simon
  9. Thanks very much PIAQT - it worked!! Appreciate your time Simon
  10. Thanks for your reply. I had been into this area - the problem being that I cannot find a option, or, in the "auto correct" tab, any option that looks like the auto change that is occuring. If you have seen it before - can you let me know which one would fix problem... **** <enter> changes to bold dots - size 72 almost (like below) ....................................................................................
  11. Hello If you open word, then type "****" and enter, you will see the formatting problem that I am talking about. If you use the Undo button immediately after, the astricks are returned. However, if you continue to type, the dots that replace the astricks will not disappear, and cannot be removed. Can anyone advise where this is turned off - PLEASE!! I have hunted through tools/options and within bullets but have found no joy. Thanks
