  1. lol had to add...

    Q. Computer Running Slow?

    A. Start > Run > msconfig > Startup = Disable All

    Start > Run > msconfig > Services = Hide All Microsoft Services then Disable All

    Restart

    :-D everyone should know that but for the few that dont i though i would throw that out there.

  2. Run > Devmgmt.msc > find the installed hardware, right click and click disable

    that should silence the repeating prompts to install drivers for the new hardware if that was what you were asking... or if its something you can remove pop the case open and pull it out :-D

    Something Funny: Im running Xubuntu atm and when reading this question i was trying to click run and type in devmgmt.msc but couldnt find run lol

  3. 95% Of Mexico would be sued

    haha :lol: :lol: that realy should be as funny as you made it seem...

    but from what i've read vista is getting down and dirty about this exploit... and with xp soon running out of updates to come, they might be working towards something on their end (activation and update center etc.)

  4. lol reason i asked is that a local computer store in Myrtle Beach, SC "Computer Inferno" just got poped in federal district court with Microsoft Corp. for using stuff like this lol. and they continued to use illegal copies of microsoft xp, office 2007 & office 2003 AFTER microsoft had warned them several times to stop lol! i belive if microsoft called me up and told me something like that i would wake up fast...

    "And where do you think this discussion could go ?" lol idk i was just asking i dont think i posted nothing wrong

    Computer Inferno vs Microsoft Corp.

    i just dont see how microsoft wouldnt come up with somekind of game plan and forget what the media has to say about it... software piracy loses like 10billion / year according to some online stats....

  5. ok.. i am confused how do people not get caught using VLK's in windows xp corp like when they leak out and all? I know that with a corp vlk you dont have to activate but seems like the pirated and leaked copies of these keys would be cut by microsoft somehow? I read where a few had leaked out and was used to install 2-3 million computers according to microsoft worldwide, and all they did was geoban the activation when getting updates or something to people that are outside of the North America.

    Just wondering... if they knew a key was illegal couldnt they just kill the key and give the corp another key that it leaked from? I know that they do this sometimes is bad situations, but there is alot of people getting away with pirating windows lol

  6. all sumed up i have a vb application that you can fill stuff out in, and has a print button you click that prints the application out.. is there a way to print the entire application instead of having to fill out this long print command stuff?

    lol here's an example of something that i tried but didnt work...

    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    Printer.Print Form1
    Printer.EndDoc
    End Sub

    edit ++++++++++++++++

    found a command that would work

    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    Dim Msg ' Declare variable.
    On Error GoTo ErrorHandler ' Set up error handler.
    PrintForm ' Print form.
    Exit Sub
    ErrorHandler:
    Msg = "The form can't be printed."
    MsgBox Msg ' Display message.
    Resume Next
    End Sub

    only bad thing is when i go to print it doesnt center the form, it prints it to the top left corner.

    does anyone have an idea how to make it print mabe top center or dead center of the page?

    thanks!

  7. i would suggest checking to see if the cpu is overheating

    i agree.. cpu overheating will cause the computer to freeze up. clean out all dust and what not from the fan,,, and next time if you can tell its about to freeze up, take a can of air duster, turn it upside down and spray it directly on the cpu heatsink that frost should cool it down some :rolleyes:

  8. After i format and reload a hdd on a Dell Dimension 8100 (older dimensions) when it gets to the point after formatting and loading the files, and restarts to load into windows to finish up the rest of the installation it always comes up "Invaild System Disk, Replace the disk, and then press any key"

    1. There isnt a floppy driver and i also have it turned off in bios.

    2. The configuration is IDE HDD is on IDE1 on the MB Master and CD-ROM is IDE2 Master on MB.

    3. I have reloaded with several disk, cd-roms, and hdd's.

    4. I have set the hdd's jumpers to Cable Select and tried it and Master and tried it.

    5. I even have tried with the hdd on the IDE2 and CD-ROM on IDE1 lol.

    Any ideas would be awsome weither their common since or not lol i must have overlooked something or mabe the mb isnt reading the hdd's right? I have tried Fujitsu's and Seagates 10gb.

  9. Hi

    On the network do you have any other computers that are the same type/model running xp pro? if you do then you could use the hdd out of another one to put in that laptop, and put the one with home into the other laptop and do the upgrade that way.

    Seeing that its a laptop exchange of cd-roms would be easier said then done but if possible i would mabe try that too. I had one just yesterday that would freeze a couple steps after entering the product key, but luckly after about 6 tries they had called to say i breezed by and is working now.
