I made further amendments in the ini file:), I threw ieaccess.cab (had read that was needed only in HFSLIP 2.0 and I use your 1.7.10J)and now my hfslipfc.log looks ; unknown: HFSVCPACK\tweaks.reg not found (H): HF\WindowsXP-KB961503-x86-PLK.exe (Non-English Input Method Editor (IME) Update) missing (S): HFTOOLS\7za.exe (Needed for Addons) tweaks.reg file is a file added by me, the other two are just unnecessary,so now I can probably safely do their version of Win XP Thanks for your help and your time
