  1. check on diskpart the number of your usb key then do that in cmd

    select disk (number)

    clean

    create partition primary

    select partition 1

    active

    format fs = fat32

    assign

    exit

go to your bios, select the boot from usb key

  2. Hello! :hello:

So does anyone know howto make KIS 2009 unattended (silent) install? So that license key and specified settings gets imported during installation =/...

What's about extracting the files in the downloaded "kis8.0.0.454en.exe" with Universal extracror, Winrar or some other program and making an nlite add-on with the extracted files, the key file and the "Bases" directory?

    namely:

    [NSIS].nsi

    setup.exe

    kis.en.msi

    KISxxxxxxxxxx*.KEY

[bases] directory which in my case is found in the following path:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8.

    Use the following switch " kis.en.msi /qb /norestart"

I have not given it a try yet and I shall kindly invite any member proposing to make an unattended Windows installation to give consideration preferably on a re-writable CD/DVD and submit the outcome, please.

    that doesn't work like this

  3. hey all, i'm here again =P

i have a problem, i've been trying to install ashampo bs 8, but at the time of kill the app, on the terminal, a message is returned, the message is 'error: clase no registrada' well, that in english is: 'error: class not registered' or something on that way, also, taskkill and tskill doesn't works.

and my other problem is, i've been tryint to install on my xp (unattended of course) 'wise registry cleaner', i used ussf to find the switch, and i paste it on my wpi, but at the time to run, just appears the gui and noticed me with 'success' in just one second, the problem is, there's no instalation on mi hdd, i tried qith /s , /silent,/q/,quiet,/passive and all the things i thought it could be..but still there's no installation.

does anyone has an answer for this ?

wise registry cleaner doesn't support silent install. just zip the folder in your program files and made a sfx install for example. you should use taskkill like this taskkill /F /IM "name.exe"

  5. I can confirm that it is a logmein issue. the logmein team have updated the software, so use the latest release to fix this issue.

    first Manually Remove LogMeIn

To manually uninstall LogMeIn, you must first terminate the services that are running.

    1. Open the Task Manager and terminate the following processes:

    1. LogMeIn.exe

    2. LogMeInsystray.exe (LogMeIn desktop Application)

    3. Ramaint.exe (LogMeIn Maintenance service)

    2. Next, navigate to Start > Run, type cd LMI Installation Path and delete the LogMeIn folder.

    3. Go back to the Run box and Type regedit

    4. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and delete the LogMeIn folder

    5. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and delete the LogMeIn folder

    6. Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Current Control Set\Services and delete the following items: LMIInfo : LMImaint : LMImirr : LMIRfsClientNP : LMIRfsDriver : LogMeIn

    7. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Classes\Installer\Products Search through these folders for a Product Name value of LogMeIn, and Delete it

    8. Now reboot the computer

After rebooting the computer, LogMeIn should be uninstalled.

After you do this, download the latest version of LMI from here https://secure.logmein.com/logmein.msi

  6. no i like vista, it's great

but you get cack performance if you have under 2gb (superfetch can't spread it's wings) and less than two cores

once you hit 4gb, and 2+ cores, vista really flies

vlite is great, but vista does need decent hardware, fact!

Agreed, i was just talking about Matt A. Tobin

  7. 1. do you have enough space on your hard drive and do you have the framework installed ?

    2. run vlite in cmd with -unwim switch

    3. run vlite normally

    try this

  8. one of my customer get this problem because of a virus. the computer starts with no desktop. what I did remotely is to open task manager and launch explorer.exe but the virus kill the process after 4-5 seconds. i have uploaded malwarebytes and run a scan. it fixed the issue. I don't if you have the same problem.
