  1. Greetings. Ca the BSY error be fixed by replacing the PCB? May thanks and best regards.
  2. Thanks nuhi. Appreciate your help. The ATI driver would not function if integrated, but will work after I click the update driver option in the device manager. The driver will also work if installed using setup. I am not doing any debugging.
  3. Greetings nuhi. i would appreciate if you could kindly take a look at these problems. They were rather straight forward device drivers integration using inf, but did not work somehow. Just couldn't figure out why the readme.htm file was left out while the license.htm file was copied over. Could it be a nlite bug? In the case of Calalyst driver, are there extra steps that need to be taken? Thanks and best regards.
  4. Greetings. I am using nlite to crate an unattended XPCD with device drivers slipstreamed for a new F8SA laptop. The integration and installation proceeded smmothly, but upon bootup, i noticed two devices were not properly installed. 1. Motorola SM56 modem The culprit appears to be a missing README.HTM file, which was not found in the NLDRV folder on the nlite CD. If I copy the file over to the NLDRV folder and edit the TXTSETUP.SIF file adding the readme.htm entry, the new nlite CD will install the modem properly. For your info, LICENSE.HTM was copied over to the NLDRV folder, but README.HTM was left out. Are there any settings in nlite that could have caused this rather strange behavior? and how to get around this problem? 2. ATI HD2600 Catalyst 7.12 There is an error message in the device manager "This device cannot start [code10]", and the adapter would only work after pressing the update driver button. Checked the registry and all the relevant entries were present,. Drivers files were also copied to the system folders . Just wouldn't start. I use the Driversheaven modified inf for installation, so this is an unsigned driver. But the WINNT.SIF file contains the two ignore Drivers Policy entries which I thought would take care of such issues. DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore NonDriverSigningPolicy=Ignore Would appreciate any help. Thank you. LAST_SESSION.INI
  5. You are right, snowden. Fully unattended setup works with UnattendMode=DefaultHide. Thanks for clarifying. Best regards.
  6. Many thanks, beats. It's working now. Best regards.
  7. Can one create a fully unattended setup cd with user name administrator and no password? Thanks.
  8. Many thanks for your reply, mara-. But it's now asking for administrator's password. What else should I change? Best regards.
  9. Greetings. Need help with a little problem using nlite to make a fully unattended setup CD. I have selected the option to log in as administrator without password, and have the computer/user/company names entered. Yet setup would pause and ask for the computer name to be confirmed. What have I done wrong? Many thanks for the help.
  10. let me cast the first vote.
  11. Thanks for the reply, nuhi. You are right about windows resetting the pagefile. Adding the pagingfiles registry key to hivesys.inf did not work. Even though the key was set to blank in system.sav, windows set it to C:\pagefile.sys in the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet on first boot. Also tried adding the key to setupreg.hiv, without modifying the hivesys.inf. Again no success. But this time the pagingfiles key in system.sav was not blank. So there is a difference on how the files setupreg.hiv and hivesys.inf are used during the windows setup process. Could you kindly explain? So is there a way to prevent windows from writing the pagefile during the setup/boot up process? If this is not possible, what needs to be done to disable it after the first boot? Thank you for your patience.
  12. Hi nuhi, Many thanks for the quick reply and writing this wonderful program. 1. I use nlite to create a XP setup CD for installing onto a USB HDD. Leaving the pagefile enabled may result in unpredictable behavior during the installation/boot up process and corrupting the host system as well. That is why it is recommended to disable the pagefile for USB installation. 2. Windows disables the pagefile by blanking the following key in the registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management] "PagingFiles"= Can the HIVESYS.INF file be modified in someways to achieve the same result? Many thanks for your kind assistance. Best regards.
  13. Is there an option in nlite to disable pagefile? Many thanks in advance.
