I'm using a clean untouched MSDN french iso of Windows 7 x64 (same problem in x86) Maybe it's beacause of the french version ... I have done some tests, i could delete succesfully homegroup services and the installation can complete. But if i do only one tweak in services tab, it crash at "starting services" screen. I had this problem since the earlier release of RT 7 Lite. But if i delete some components WITHOUT touching anything about services, and if i tweak services with vLite, the installation run smoothly to the end without any problem. This one doesn't work for me (bug at the 2nd stage of the installation) Lastsession.inf This one works great ... 7 LITE Valide 2010-06-26.inf

ok thx for the reply. In fact i was deleting those services because when i was using vLite i deleted them in Vista, those services are totally useless for me, that's why. I'll do as you say, leave them, and use the blackviper reg-services-tweak-file we can create on his website. If i have some suggestions for the next releases : - could be great to have the possibility to have access to the "ISO" panel after the "apply" even if we haven't select it in task before the "apply", could same some time. - cab files support for updates (!) - change the system of the tweak services tab : sometimes the dropdown panel doesn't keep my selected choice ... some clipping if i can say ... weird, could be more clean and clear if it was like that : see here (with colored dependencies could be awesome)

hi, i'm having some problems with RT7Lite from the earlier released, even with this one (1.0.9 beta) : i can't delete or customize the services without creating an error at the 2nd stage of the installation, i mean after the 1st reboot, when, normally, it comes with the "starting services" screen (don't know if it is really this in english, i use french version of 7) and become the "end of the installation". It stopped at the "starting services" screen, and do infinite reboot ... Until the 1.0.8, i couldn't remove or customize ONE service, if i did, i had this error. With the 1.0.9 i'm able to delete this services in "components" section : SensrSvc, HomeGroupListener, HomeGroupProvider (without any services customizing in "tweaks" panel) But with the "full" list of removal i wanna use, it doesn't work at all (see the inf file) It is because i'm removing too much ? Because of services dependencies ? (could be great in next releases to add a dependency check for services/components) Some services must be there for the installation ? Oh by the way, if you want a french translator for your tool i can try if you want. i have developped a "stand-alone tool" (batchs) to create an unattend DVD of 7. Normally it doesn't need WAIK or any other tool, i have integrated the drivers wimfltr and wimmount to install, the wimgapi.dll etc ... on a fresh installed vista, i can produce a 7 una DVD without installing anything else i have spent 2 weeks to do and test it, and at the end, all works fine. i have done an unatend 7 with it, and i have formated my pc with it. i have only 7 on my pc, no dualboot etc ... i have found some new update for windows 7 that i wanted to integrate in a new version of an una 7, and my tool doesn't work when the batch use a dism command... i havent installed any WAIK or OPK in 7, like i didn't installed any WAIK/OPK in vista... i have a laptop under vista, and my tool works just fine, but not in 7 ... i have test my tool on a 7 RTM untouched installed on VMware, same errors maybe because 7 have DISM preintegrated, and i use a DISM-copy in an other folder in my tool ?

okay ... maybe but why does it work perfectly with just the folder path under Vista ? i repeat all my batchs works 100% without any kind of error under Vista maybe the issu is in the (") this : dism.exe /image:c:\dismtool2\mount /add-package /packagepath:c:\dismtool2\updates to this : dism.exe /image:"c:\dismtool2\mount" /add-package /packagepath:"c:\dismtool2\updates" or maybe : dism.exe /image:"c:\dismtool2\mount\" /add-package /packagepath:"c:\dismtool2\updates\"

hello all i have done some batch to create an unattend based on Windows 7, they use DISM, ImageX, and OSCDIMG. all my command work properly, and i have done a Windows 7 una DVD that i have installed on my PC. but ... here is the deal : under Vista SP2, all my batch worked properly, but in windows 7, i have DISM error. for example, i mount a wim file using the old imagex (i have tried with the new too), works ok, but when i use the driver or update integration command, it doesnt work with an error : dism is corrupt, try to reinstall etc ... here is a copy of the complete command line with the result on screen : c:\dismtool2\cmd\imagex.exe /mountrw c:\dismtool2\dvd\sources\install.wim 1 c:\dismtool2\mount ImageX Tool for Windows Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp. very interesting tool ! i have little issues, but its an alpha build, so i think its normal. i can't add hotfixes (those for 7600.16399), they don't appear, or the program shut down with an error. and i have tried to remove components, it seems to work, but in the apply tab, i choose "rebuild yes", and my new wim file size doesn't have change (i have removed VirtualPC-Packages and Localization-packs ...) i have tested this with the last WAIK for 7 RTM on Vista SP2 x86 and on 7 RTM x64. just to know if im doing something wrong, or if its normal ... some suggestions for : - a little description of the packages in the remove tab could be great - service and others optimization like in nLite/vLite should be awesome too. good work ! EDIT : i've noticed i have dism error on all WMP or WMC related packages ...

I have Microsoft Encarta 2009, and i see there are Online Update for this software, and i see there is also a "UPDATES" folder in the DVD root ... So my question is simple ? Is there a way to integrate those updates in this folder (like office 2007) ? if yes, how ? thx

Hi everybody, i have a problem with my vLited Vista i havent before, here are the problems : - First, everything working fine and no problem on VMWare, it's on a real machine where there are problems ... don't understand why ... - At the 1st boot, when we choose avatar and wallpaper, my selection isnt save i think because when vista starts, there is windows98 interface (gray) and default wallpaper of vista wallpaper ... - In the start menu, in "recents documents", in right clic, there is no more "delete recents files" (dont know the right name in english, i use french vista) - In my session documents, folder use to be green and in french, here there are yellow and in english, with nothing in it ... "links" folder is empty All of those problems are only is real machine, the same dvd tested in VMWare works fine... i have tested x86 and x64 version : same problem here is my "last session.ini" file ... i dont see want can cause trouble, if you can help me please ! ; @FSK-JoKeR If you want, but 2008 and vista may not have all the same hotfix, clic here to see all Server 2008 Hotfixs @MAVERICKS CHOICE I think it could work (i have never do that), but ISO can be larger and larger, i think it is better when it on a clean vista, no drivers conflict. By updating iso, for example, it will maybe do this, have driver v1 + v2 + v3 ... or maybe the *.sys, *.inf *.dll can be overwrite, i really dont know, clean install is ok and safe, for updating drivers, ask muiz on his forum
