  1. I installed xp x64 in a vm, twice, one from each install media I've used, and I'm always able to remote desktop connect to the one running in the VM. How bizarre is that?
  2. I reloaded with a disc that only had drivers added. Same error...
  3. Eer yeah, don't have that either. I think I'm just gonna reload with an unmodified disc. :-/
  4. Well xp x64 uses the same kernel as 2003 x64. I do not have ultrasync installed. I did use nlite to slipstream a bunch of stuff, and that's all that's different since I reloaded. Maybe that did it?
  5. Did this thread disappear off the list or am I crazy?
  6. Disable "enhance pointer precision" That will make it skip pixels and move faster.
  7. I'm trying to remote connect to a computer running xp pro x64 and I get this. Any ideas? And does this mean the failure was successful? (lol)
  8. Is there a way to make a disc that can install either 2k or xp? I already have images I made with Nlite for both.
  9. i installed 8.5 instead...now at least I can get into CCC....weird.
  10. I can't change the video acceleration, it says "Your current display driver does not allow changes to be made to hardware acceleration settings" I downloaded the latest driver for my card. I'm using server 2008 standard x64, and an ATI 3870. I swear last time I installed server 2008 it let me enable that. I can't get into the CCC which in server 2003 was rectified by enabling full hardware acceleration.
  11. do I need to use a qword if I'm running 64 bit? (dword is 32, qword is 64)
  12. So do 2008 and vista, same minor revision even.
  13. Well, I get better FPS in 2003 than XP...go figure... And it seems like after more than a year they would've figured the whole vista thing out... :-/ And after 3 years the x64 thing...
  14. So I've tried both vista 64 and server 2008 64, neither one gives video performance resembling xp x64 or 2003 x64. Same version of the drivers, same hardware, same everything. Why is the vista kernel so much worse video performance wise? I have an AMD phenom 9500, and dual ati 3870 and 8gb of ram.
  15. In xp pro when you connect to a computer using a user name that's already logged in you take over the local session, is there a way to make server 2003 duplicate that behavior? for now I just have to log when I leave my computer so when i log on remotely I don't end up with 2 instances of everything running.
