  1. Hi to all,

After further investigation, i've seen that RVMUpdatePack2.0.2a.cab updates the file intl.inf.

I don't think that the update pack is bad, this new intl.inf file contains a few new languages and i think Nuhi have to update nlite to take care of this new languages :

    Assamese

    Filipino

    Frisian

    Inuktitut_Latin

    Irish

    Luxembourgish

    Mapudungun

    Mohawk

    Nepali

    Nepali_Nepal

    Oriya

    Pashto

    Romansh

My trick of the first post worked because i replaced the intl.inf by the older (i've forgot to mention it...).

It's not a clean solution, but it works...

I hope nuhi will read this...

  2. hi,

If you specify in the command line the path of a NOT nlited cd (original XP CD) the rundll32 command line is for repairing an already installed xp...

    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection LG_INSTALL_5 128 <NOT Nlited xpcd>\i386\intl.inf

To help you to identify missing files in your cd you can do th following :

copy sources of a NOT nlited xp cd in a folder ex c:\XPSP2 and put your nlited cd in your drive and run

    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection LG_INSTALL_5 128 c:\XPSP2\I386\intl.inf

this would help you to identify the missing files...

  3. hi spiritpyre,

Thank you for these greats extensions.

I'm using The "Hidden Files Toggle" and "Files Extension Toggle".

I would like to know if you could add a registry setting for the key used to refresh because this key is dependant of the user language interface...

In french ui, "R&efresh" is "Ac&tualiser" so the key used to refresh after the SHIFT+F10 would be "t" and not "e"... so a registry setting would be great !

    thanks

  4. Hi GeorgeR,

I think you can try with this command line to install cyrillic language pack :

    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection LG_INSTALL_5 128 <Not Nlited xpcd>\i386\intl.inf

    cheers,

    Donbi

PS : I've tryed with the all the alg0* ,the LANG folder and intl.inf of a not nlited xp cd and this in winnt.sif

    [RegionalSettings]

    LanguageGroup=13,17,3,2,5,16,4,12,15,7,8,10,11,9,6,14,1

    Language=0000040c

and it works... I have all language packs installed...

  5. Yes it works, but i don't know why... (agt0* are ms agent files) I suppose that some of these files are needed to install language pack properly... I've found this trick when i'm trying to fix the missing keyboard layout with this command :

    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection LANGUAGE_COLLECTION.BASIC.INSTALL 128 <Not Nlited xpcd>\i386\intl.inf

it's very helpfull to reinstall language pack from a NOT nlited cd

  6. Hi,

To fix the keyboard layout missing problem, you just have to include all i386\AGT0*.Dl_ and i386\AGT0*.HL_ to you XPCD and add the corresponding entry in txtsetup.sif in section

  7. Hi,

I've just tested this little app FireFox Preloader and you may want to test it. It has a little footprint (about 3Mo) in memory but firefox loads really faster...

The setup is an inno, so i think that this command should work :

    FirefoxPreloaderSetup.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-

Thanks again to rutger10000 for sharing...

    Donbi

  8. If the firefox startup is too slow for you, try pre-loading it.  It leaves a small footprint in memory at all times, but it's worth it to have firefox load up almost instantly.

    Firefox Preloader [sourceforge]

    preloader is interesting

before i try it out, how much of a footprint is there?

I've just tested it and i want to say thanks to rutger10000, it works really great and the footprint is about 3220 Ko in memory (in my system) but the firefox loading is now very, very faster... you can try it

  9. Thanks for the responses but i would like to install drivers before pluging the smartcard reader...

    So the devcon method fails...

i've found a unattended setup for the reader (Cardman 8630)

    http://www.utimaco.com/content_support/zip..._r01_0_14_3.zip

The last "normal" drivers are here :

    http://www.omnikey.com/en/download_func.php?op=69

But it's the same problem, the smartcard reader need to be plugged to work. If i install the drivers and plug the smartcard reader, i've got the new hardware wizard...

I've also tried the DpInst.exe from microsoft but it dont work because the drivers are not signed...

    thanks for your help

  10. Hi everybody,

It's not for unattended purpose but for deploy...

I would like to install an usb smartcard reader drivers in windows. The goal is :

User plugs the smartcard reader and it's automatically installed et ready to use without any user input (no New hardware install Wizard).

I've tried to use devcon but when i use devcon update it fails and when i use devcon install it works but when i plug the smartcard reader it's not correctly installed... (i think windows install a new device..)

I've tried to put the inf and the files in c:\windows\inf but it don't work...

If anyone gots an idea ?

    Thanks

    donbi

  11. Hi to all,

I've found this little command :

    Mountvol

For example, if you plug a sata disk or usb2 disk and you power off it, sometimes windows still show it on explorer but you cant unmount it in the logical disk manager because the disk is not present.

You can use mountvol <DRIVE>: /D to unmount the drive...

    very useful to me,

Hopes it can be usefool to others

  12. Hi Thanks to all for the responses, but i don't want a tool or a script to do this, i would like to use the mini-setup after the welcome screeen...

For the tools, i've find this 2 :

    Compname

    http://www.willowhayes.co.uk/

    Baptize

    http://www.univ-st-etienne.fr/pub/systeme/...ers/baptize.txt

    http://www.univ-st-etienne.fr/pub/systeme/...ers/baptize.exe

but i really want to do this with the mini-setup if possible... i've already seen kind of setup in branded pc when you power on the first time, it's only ask you for your name, company but not installing windows... I think sysprep is used but i don't understand how to integrate in my unattended cd...
