  1. I'm not sure of any other reasons why the Anti-Malware Toolkit will not load on your system. Would you mind posting full PC specs?
  2. Does the application (GUI) show up at all? Also, are there any infections present on your system? If so, you may want to make a copy of the Anti-Malware Toolkit to your desktop and rename it to amt.exe and see if it runs/appears then.
  3. Just to confirm, you have version 1.13? What errors are you encountering? Do you have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed?
  4. ^ Plus IP.B3 is coming to this site soon and it'll fix the issue.
  5. What version of the Anti-Malware Toolkit do you have? If it's 1.12 or lower, you need to update.
  6. IPB3 has all new codeboxes that work super well. When we upgrade to IPB3 (might be 3.1 at this rate) it'll help immensely. About IPB 2.3 codeboxes:
  7. 24/41 - worry not, we'll get this fixed.
  8. Version 1.13.326 has been released. Changes: [Fixed] Resolved issue where XML list was not downloading properly. Download: Lunarsoft Link: Digg This! Releases have been much slower because we are working on version 2.
  9. The AVG anti-rootkit has been folded into their paid anti-virus product, and consequently, any updates to it have been done there.. Yes it has, but when I made the post originally it was a free, separate download. Check out the date of the post you quoted.
  10. More information from you might be useful.
  11. It's very easy to clean out with MBAM, SUPERAntiSpyware and Combofix.
  12. That's not true. Considering that a majority of people will go for the freeware versions of firewalls, both Outpost and Comodo are better than OA. Outpost is better than Comodo because there's no garbage in the install, no toolbars in their installer. I'm at the point where I'd pick Outpost over Comodo due to the issues that Comodo has been trying to downplay. Issuing security certificates to malicious websites for one. Another is the constant toolbars in their Firewall installer. Softpedia has removed Comodo completely due to legal threats by Comodo because Softpedia called Comodo's products adware. Their 100% Clean award means you should be able to click through an install without worry of toolbars, malware or any other garbage.
  13. Clamwin is complete garbage. You'd be amazed how worthless it really is. It's sad, I wish it was better.
  14. Firefox (referred to as Fx) is a web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox is a highly customizable browser that allows you to enhance it using Add-ons. Some examples of Add-ons that you can use to customize Firefox are AdBlock Plus, CuteMenus - Crystal SVG, DownThemAll!, TabMixPlus and many more. Tabbed browsing is one of the many features that helps to make Firefox more secure than most browser. Firefox does not use ActiveX. Firefox does make use of many plugins to enhance your web experience. From Shockwave, Flash, Quicktime and more; your browsing experience reaches new levels with the Firefox browser. 15. Cleared cookies and still having the issue. Closing and reopening the browser forces a logout.
  16. I believe it's related to the CMS change on the frontpage.
  17. Easy does it there sport, I misunderstood what you meant. The person who started the post that is stickied can easily maintain it, and for the sticky index, all SMods can easily edit it.
  18. This section has more than enough stickies as is. In fact, it has more than any other forum on the site. Only a few stickies are really necessary. MDGx's idea of linking to important topics in one sticky is a better idea, though.
  19. If you need a moderator, this is the button to push: Notification is dispatched immediately to the moderation team and often multiple moderators will review, discuss (if necessary) and act upon said topic/thread in a very responsive amount of time. But remember, we're all human, we need our sleep/rest too. ...Except Coffeefiend... he's always awake from all that coffee. (You should see his desk, coffee cups and pots everywhere. Even coffee/espresso machines!)
  20. Yep, fine here. What extensions do you have running? Have you tried -safe-mode?
  21. Can easily summarize how to secure Windows 98 without a virus scanner: Unplug/Disconnect access to router/Internet. Realistically: format Windows 98 off and upgrade to a modern, supported OS.
  22. Have you tried the .NET Uninstall Tool? Once you uninstall the .NET Framework, be sure to get .NET 3.5 SP1 installer.
  23. Haven't had any issues here since the last report in January.
