In my installation I uncompessed dotnetfx35.exe with winrar and I ran dotnetfx35setup.exe, which is inside the compessed file, with /qn /norestart command lines, but I use runonceex. You can give it a try! Regards, Peter

Hello everybody! I'd like to share with you a few remarks regarding my XP installation. I have a laptop and two desktops, two with XP home and 1 with pro. I created 3 different unattended installation cds from the original cds that came with each of my computer. I manually integrated sp3, all the hotfixes and used runonceex to silently install many apps and drivers. All of them had the same problem, wmdrmsdk.dll missing box and the most important, oobe didn't start at all and didn't create any users (in home I had only the owner user and in pro administrator). I also noticed that xp didn't function well from the very first day after format. Now I created a new cd but I omitted the windows media patches (KB941569, KB939683, KB936782, KB929399) and everything went perfect! Maybe the problem was that I don't slipstream wmp11, I just run it silently from runonceex I don't know. All your comments are welcome! Regards, Peter

Look at the last lines of your runonceex.cmd file: REG ADD %KEY%\040 /VE /D "Adobe Acrobat Reader 9" /f REG ADD %KEY%\040 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\reader9.exe /s /rs" /f REG ADD %KEY%\040 /VE /D "Finalize Settings and Reboot" /f REG ADD %KEY%\040 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\cleanup.cmd" /f EXIT You can see the numbers of acrobat and cleanup are the same, 040, so cleanup overwrites acrobat in the registry and it's like acrobat never existed in runonceex entry. Plz correct me if I'm wrong

Hello everybody, I have been trying to install Win XP in my laptop but I am having some difficulties. The text mode of the setup finishes normally and the computer restarts, I see the Windows logo and then the setup shows me a message that lsass.exe has a system error and it says: "A writing procedure was tried in a volume after that it was unmounted" (I have greek version of windows, this a traslation of mine I hope it is correct). This message is shown for a brief moment and then the computer restarts, I get the same message and restarts again and so on. I have manually integrated SP3 and the latest hotfixes (I have also integrated IE7 hotfix without IE7 itself maybe this is the problem?). I 've tried formatting my hdd, changing partitions nothing helped. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank a lot!! Peter

Hello again floko! Unfortunately oobe didn't show up again...... Thank you very much for the automatic updates help, the registry tweak worked fine! This is my oobeinfo.ini file (I put it in the right folder ) [Options] IntroOnly = 0 NoIspPreconfig = 1 JoinDomain = 0 AdminPW = 0 SkipAutoUpdate = 1 RemoveOwner=1 [UserInfo] Identity000 = "Peter" I also erased the oobeinfo.in_ from the i386 folder and put UnattendSwitch = No in winnt.sif... without results. Anyway I will try to work with it to see what's wrong. Thank again!

Thanks floko84 for your solutions! I wanted to ask something. I have made 3 different unattended windows installations, 2 with home and 1 with pro, all of them bypassed oobe. The problem was that windows didn't create any users (just "Owner" for home and "Administrator" for pro) but I wanted to create my own users, didn't activate windows and didn't configure automatic updates. I used the "$OEM$\$$\system32\oobe\oobeinfo.ini" to create users and the "[Data] AutomaticUpdates = Yes"without results. I even used "UnattendSwitch = No". I now noticed that I have an "oobeinfo.in_" in my i386 folder. You think that this messed things up? Thank you vry much!

Hello everybody! I'd like to ask something. Can I silently install my applications directly fron cmdlines.txt rather than using RunOnceEx? Using RunOnceEx they will be installed on firtst logon but using directly cmdlines they will be installed after the Windows installation. What do you think, is this a correct method? I want to try it on a virtual machine but I don't have time at the moment. Thank you very much

Hello everybody! I have an Acer 5685 laptop with Intel/Pro 3945abg wireless card. I made a basic unattended Windows xp installation. I used nLite to integrate the latest hotfixes and GuiRunOnce for some programs, I installed all others manually. The problem is that I can't find any wireless networks when I try to see them from Windows. When I used Acer's and Intel's utilities everything works fine. I have tried many versions of the wireless driver (including the one that Acer provides from their site and the latest from Intel) without any results. Thanks a lot for your time!
