[XP SP2 Freezing after initial install..]

BIOS update?

I've found that with Intel P4 CPU mobos, a BIOS update will more often than not reflash the microcode that is **inside* the CPU as well as the mobo BIOS.

SL7xxx (espec the SL7EY) series CPUs are more effected by this than some, but the whole of the P4 family had more microcode updates than people generally know.

Try this... this is a good solution, in most case it works. Into bios so update a fix to install xp sp2 in the most of cases

sorcio, did u extract the nero installation file or did admin install? extract the files and follow the method. do not do admin install. Use setupx.exe to install nero.

I've just burned nero on cd.... during the install i recive an error! Instead installing from hd it's ok!

Unable to create necessary files rows in the folder

When nero setupX try to decompress file *.cab locate in ..\Cab

Some tricks? I can decompress *.cab but... i dont know the correct name of the folder used from installer... (if work), it depends of nero.msi installer.... ummmm..... that's a problem....

I've tried kyor & Toto51 ideas it works really. The errors doesn't appears in a fresh install. If do not, please use nero general clean tool with a registry cleaner (ccleaner it's fine).

So i've worked around thi ideas. That's all:

The red keys are simply the code of nero 7 + plugins, if not necessary delete the key plugins\Info.

I've read this guide, but the silent install for the version cs7 build 515 doesn't work correctly.

It stop in the F-secure policy manager window. What is the correct parameter for choose locally managed standalone installation?

I tried with

Dlgpolicymanageroff = 1

but doesn't work....
