Thanks roytam1 for the new build. Works great and not having either of the problems you mentioned. Keep up the good work.

I get the same thing with Palemoon 27.6.0a1. It will not launch and the error I get has to do with mozglue.dll. Version 27.5.0 works fine with XP Pro SP3.. I have SSE2 and all updates.

If it's just the drivers you need then the orginal disk works fine. I've done it.

IE8 RC1 is now available from MS Download Center. It also does not integrate as the other RC1 versions we tried. The /integrate switch is missing. If someone is a member of the IE8 team (or what ever MS calls it), please report this problem (also the /log switch does not work). Enjoy, John.
EDIT: I discovered I could call MS for free on IE8, so I did. They are to call me back. We'll have to see if anything comes of this. John.
Good going John. Keep us posted.

That's your Nvidia driver file. I always add my Nvidia driver and remove all other display drivers. Did you do that?

Congratulations. If you're like me you'll now be hooked on nlite and will forever be tweaking. I've done it so many times that I have it down to a science now.
You can change the product key, but it's kind of a pain. Probably wouldn't save much time. Here is the low-down on doing it:

Ternion, here are the 3 main update packs. The first is the most popular and has all critical updates plus a few good hot fixes. The second is the smallest and only has critical updates. The third is OnePiece and it is the biggest. It has IE7 and WMP11 plus updates, and all hot fixes that Microsoft has released. If I were you I would choose the first one as it is the most reputable. Of course, it gets more complicated to add IE7 and WMP11. You could just use the update pack and then go to Microsoft updates and get IE7 and WMP11 plus updates.

ltsnow, I don't know why Ternion does not use packs but I refrain because of loss of control. I must accept when and what someone else decides to put in a pack and trust that the pack has no errors. Enjoy, John.
Good point John. Ryanvm does put a lot of extra hot fixes in, but not as many as OnePiece. Xable, however, only uses the critical updates so that one might be more to your liking.

Hurray! It finally worked! I apparently had the patches in the wrong order (I shoulda listened to you better John).
Although the video resolution I had selected (1280x1024) didn't happen and it still wants to add a user with the "Who will use this computer" screen. Maybe I can get rid of those and it will be just right! It would be nice to be able to leave the Product Key blank and have it prompt me for it right at the start, but guess I can't have everything...lol
I sure appreciate the help!
thanks, Scott
I'll attach the final ini here.
In the future why put yourself through all that when you can simply add Xable's or Ryanvm's single update pack.

I just used the Ryanvm 1.03 update pack and it worked fine. I also added the NR_IE7en_Addon_2.0.4a and OnePiece_Windows_Media_Player_11_True_AddOn_v1.4.1_ENU addons and now the computer is completely updated.

ltsnow, I found a copy to DL for x64 and tried it and it did not integrate for me either. I got a window with the switch options, then the error that the integration failed. I tried a direct integration and got the same switch option window, then it quit. I created a log file and got the log below.

I have a couple more things to try and will let you know if I have any success. Let us hear if you solve the problem. I did install it on my VM and it installs and works fine. Enjoy, John.
No, John I have never figured it out. I ended up just installing IE8 after the XP installation. It really does work very well. Much better than the beta 2 version.

You might want to try this one. I find it easier since you don't have to add anything and it's completely up to date.

Here are two very good ways to integrate IE7 and WMP11. They both include all updates to present and the WMP one is easier than using the boooggy one. Just do SP3 first and then these.

Of course I also recommend using this after SP3 and before the other two:

Now that we've established the availability does anyone know why is won't integrate?

ltsnow, I was going to give it a try, but could not find a copy. Where can I find a copy for XP x64? MS does not show RC1 at all and Google says MS says it will be out in January 09. I did see some sites that had XP copies. If it will not integrate, as you found, then I suspect only nuhi can help. I suggest you send him an e-mail (see nLite site) or a PM or both. Enjoy, John.
Yeh, I guess I'll have to.

I tried to integrate IE8 RC1 with nlite and it said the integration failed. According to the updates for nlite IE8 beta 2 is supported. Is RC1 different?

Whats it supposed to burn an iso of then?
An iso that you created at an earlier date and then got rid of the installation directory.
I know there are a million ways to burn it, but I just wanted to know if nLite could do it.

I have been using nLite for a long time and have always wondered how I can just burn an image I created earlier without selecting an installation folder. I mean what if you just have the iso image and nothing else. You can't get past the first screen unless you select an installation folder.

If you restore any DLL files in this way be sure to re-register them with the command:
REGSVR32.EXE path\filename.dll and probably should reboot the computer after
doing so.
Go to Bold Fortune's web site and just go to Task Scheduler service and add back the files that he deletes. I don't know if that will work, but it might.Good point.

OI alot to be GAINED !!!
read my "im a noob thread" above this... it helped me from pulling my hair out !!
not sure why it jumped up so much in numbers... 33** to 5503 but i can justify that as my HD onboard Audio is now working fine and wasn't with older releases !!!
realtek HD 1.89 just released and running fine on 5503
Oh yeh, forgot about that. It doesn't affect me.

Can't you extract the .exe file with winrar or 7-zip? Often you can. I thought your driver problem might be an .inf problem. Glad you like Nlite. I love it. Since I found Nlite and Acronis I can make images of different builds and go back and forth in a matter of minutes.

I'm not really sure there is anything to be gained over build 3311. This was only designed for a subset of beta testers, whatever that means. I didn't find any difference except of course it didn't have a build number like 3311.
