I second that! With the greatest respect to the herculean ongoing efforts of roytam1, it's the 360Chrome browser which has given a new lease of life to browsing on XP in my experience. I say that as a dyed in the wool Firefox aficionado for many years (and Opera 12 before that). I'd never had any wish to use a Chromium browser, but once my old faithful Firefox 52.9 ESR started malfunctioning on more and more sites, I had to bite the bullet, and I've never regretted it. None of it would have been possible without the efforts of ArcticFoxie and Humming Owl, I salute them both!5 points

LOL! Actually I've never seen the Disney cartoon Hercules! Well of course. We would never have had a non-Chinese version without the spyware though without the efforts of Humming Owl and ArctricFoxie. Of course the Russian re-packers were intermediaries here too!3 points

Talking about computers and knowing more about them. That's what I mainly like to do.2 points

I meant (of course) how much worse it could be; sorry sometimes I just don't see it until the next day.2 points

The Chinese did the main thing, you'd have nothing without them.2 points

You need to connect with people based on their common interests with yours. What are your hobbies, your favorite activities for now?.. I knew this was changing...when I was a kid, I collected postage stamps...but when I grew up, I dropped them completely2 points

Here in France we've got the Truffaut stores, which also sell animals, fish etc. Do you have a similar store where you live? Go and see the animals in their shop, very interesting.1 point

@NotHereToPlayGames Geez, why are you wasting precious holiday time on what's not very interesting for you when you could just give me that resource.pak of yours so I could compare it with both my modded version and your previously released 2022? No Thanksgiving here, though I probably will have to go to sleep soon, been up for more than 24 hrs (not related to my neck pain, that's pretty much OK now). EDIT: Regarding your two context menu items, unfortunately it's leaning towards having to patch the DLL code to get these to go away. Going by the original 86.0.4240.198 Chromium, the QR item should be controllable via chrome://flags/#sharing-qr-code-generator , but it seems to have no effect in 360. The translation item should be blockable via TranslateEnabled policy key in the registry, but 360 doesn't seem interested in Chrome or Chromium policies (it reads a single one from the latter, unhelpful for this). Since I don't feel strongly about these items, I can't promise I'll be spending a lot of time tracking this stuff down in the code, I guess we'll have to see...1 point

That's cool! I used to have hobbies ... needlepoint and number painting, but I stopped and I do miss having hobbies besides computers.1 point

So I think it's fault of native dark mode in your Chromium 102. And how is it in DCBrowser, with and without Dark mode?1 point
-
And why only some members are not normal ? By this logic it would invert all, no ?1 point
-
I don't use this extension now. I use only the chrome's flag to force dark mode. And then again, with 360 Explorer - no such weirdness, with or without extension.1 point

Zero interest here. I actually prefer to use 32bit web browsers even on my 64bit Win10s. And as previously mentioned, there are better alternatives once we exclude support for XP. Another reason this thread (in my opinion) should be for XP users "only".1 point

Holy crap! I'd throw the computer out the window if I had to encounter that all the time, lol.1 point

Agreed! I am actually in-process of that very thing. My hopes are to prevent/decrease the address bar delay. You may notice that when you FIRST launch 360Chrome, if you start typing in the address bar "right away", you have to start your typing over after a second or two. I'm hoping to prevent/decrease that delay. For me, this delay is ONLY with the very FIRST launch after a reboot or coming out of system hibernate. Every successive launch before the next power cycle or hibernate, I have no delay in the address bar.1 point

Yeah, I used to be out at night in the 90's and now in bed at 10PM and I'm SO VERY happy that its quiet here today. Seems like a lifetime ago and I was fearless but also oblivious and too open to wearing my 'heart of my sleeve' and people took the (full) opertunity to pull the 'wool over my eyes' .. but that was then. Here and now - Today. One day at a time now. Will write more a bit later but happy to see that everyone here at the forum seem to be in good spirit and this makes me happy. I know its hard for others out there when families are struggling to get by and I think of them and am grateful and mindful of how much wore it could be. 'There but for the grace of God, go I'1 point

Crazy Funny Russian Photos - Only in Russia! Here: https://englishrussia.com/ From "About" page: English Russia is a personal blog by a Russian person who was not satisfied with the situation, when the many things happening in Russia were not covered by the mainstream media. Then, he started blogging about things that were often seen by the media giants, and it quickly proved interesting and exciting – both for him and for his countless readers who started to like the blog. In just one year, it was cited as one of the most popular blogs in the world. The founder himself preferred to use the pseudonym of Tim (acronym for “TEAM” – English team from Russia, which consisted of only one person at the time). Now, it is a popular daily entertainment blog, but still personal, dedicated to events that take place in Russian-speaking countries, such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, etc. Every day something interesting happens....1 point

I wouldn't worry about it too much; Google said no, so as great as JPEG-XL may be, it's going nowhere: https://www.cnet.com/tech/computing/chrome-banishes-jpeg-xl-photo-format-that-could-save-phone-space/1 point

For those that have been following along over the years, a reminder that an increasing number of "modern" web sites now require three different types of javascript functions that break older web browsers. 1) Nullish coalescing operator ?? -- syntax leftExpr ?? rightExpr 2) Optional chaining operator ?. -- syntax 1) obj.val?.prop, 2) obj.val?.[expr], or 3) obj.func?.(args) 3) Regex unicode property escapes The first two have been partially addressed in "palefill" and "chromefill" addons - but they will not solve all web sites that require nullish coalescing or optional chaining operators. The third type requires Chrome v64 or Firefox v78 or higher (ie, don't hold your breath on this ever getting fixed in any UXP or Mypal browser versions!). For reference -- https://caniuse.com/mdn-javascript_builtins_regexp_property_escapes1 point

Naturally, cause you don't have Palefill installed. And it will stop spin and show itself when it will be installed. Crazy-house, i know. I get link to it using 360 Extreme Explorer. Well it is a thing that execute some scripts in Pale Moon\New Moon until (and if) Pale Moon team have its own "Web Components" working. https://github.com/martok/palefill/releases/download/v1.21/palefill-1.21.xpi Here is the file itself: palefill-1.21.xpi1 point
