  4. Been experimenting again with windows 2000 recently and found this excellent video by a spanish speaker called Kernel32 on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM_ljg4XvZ8 He's got english subtitles and has one of the best tutorials on how to install blackwingcat's kernel on a vanilla installation of windows 2000, I tried it on my old dell 330 and it worked great!

  5. Yes, it worked for me in Vmware in legacy mode. You have to use MBR disk, create primary ntfs partition, install the .wim there and create a bootloader using "bcdboot [path to windows folder] /s [path to where you want to crate bootloader] /f BIOS" I used the same partition for both bootloader and Windows files When installing in Vmware Keep in mind, that this OS has no SCSI driver, so choose SATA connection

  7. I won't bother addressing your points. It's clear that you're a conflicting individual who's always looking for a fight, always dismissing or putting down others unless they speak exactly how you want to hear them. Impossible to converse with you like with a normal person. You're not worth my time.

  8. Yes, I can confirm this for the latest New Moon 28 build (20220625). I wanted to download the latest WinSCP version and was wondering that nothing happened after clicking "Save File" -> "OK" within the download dialogue. Then I tried my own page (soggi.org) to download a file - again nothing happened. So I switched back to NM28 (20220618) and everything works fine with downloading files. @roytam1 please have a look at this! kind regards soggi

  9. @D.Draker I was expressing my opinion. If others' opinions insult you, then maybe it would be better for you to not participate in such discussions. I simply speak my mind on things I'm more familiar with. US is often enough in the news and in some places I lurk online, I can't help but notice American posters who are discontent with the way things are in their country. They also use the term "3rd world" in relation to it sometimes. Traitors, right? /s The keyword "us third world country" is used often enough that the Google search engine suggests it, there are articles noting in which way it's backwards etc. Take school shootings, for instance. There's a whole list. One of the guys who committed Columbine High School massacre apparently commented "It's going to be like...Doom". The computer class teacher let us play Doom all those years ago when we were kids after we were done with exercises. Who ended up shooting up the the school afterwards? Nobody. Granted, that incident ended up with really high publicity, is only one of many and there is much more to the story, but seriously, knowing such things, how do you expect me to have a positive opinion? How do you put US in the same bucket as Ireland and Denmark, which, BTW, are the only two countries on your list of the best that are doing better than where I'm from - 🇸🇮 🇸🇮 🇸🇮 Slovenia 🇸🇮 🇸🇮 🇸🇮 - on the Global Peace Index. Peace oughtta mean something on this crazy planet! One of the few leader boards that are worth competing on IMO.

  10. I don't like extremists on either side! Rather than "believe" anything another on the internet or something tells me, I'd much rather rely on my own instinct on what is right and what is wrong. Only thing that has gotten me this far, I learned early on to trust nobody but yourself, otherwise just a puppets on strings and I'm a lot of things but not that. I know you're a good person, Draker. and I don't have the energy to protest for any cause at this point, so, I have no choice but to go with the flow, I guess. **leaving the thread for good - bye bye**

  11. Nothing to be in awe of... Mozilla Firefox based browsers/forks come with their own TLS implementations, as well as their own Certificate Store; IE and Chromium forks rely on the OS certificate store (WinCert Store), hence the errors reported (due to well-known crypto deficiencies of WinXP SP3...); FTR, Serpent 52.9.0 (by roytam1) also has no issues with MSFN (and other CF) certs (nor do 360EEv12/13 "here" , because Vista SP2 has no problems dealing with ECC... ) ... Cheers

  15. You can grab some Linux live CD/USB and test there too for comparison. If it produces similar results, there is probably not much that a driver change can do to improve speeds. Check this for some testing advices - https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/108838/how-can-i-benchmark-my-hdd At least one tool mentioned there has both Windows and Linux builds available, so you can do a direct comparison - https://github.com/axboe/fio/ 77MB/s sounds fine to me.
