I have not verified, but my hunch is that if you launch Humming Owl's with the below command line switch, then his won't connect to Google at launch -- --disable-background-networking

@roytam1 It seems, that I found a bug in the New Moon 27: when resuming from the video full screen, controls (including address bar) are invisible (bad sizing?). Bug introduced with palemoon-27.10.0.win32-git-20210717-619c191e4-xpmod-ia32 (SSE and other versions not tested), and still persists (see the attached images). I must restart New Moon to restore the correct looking.

Experimental: WebGL 1 (tested with Firefox 47.0.2 and 52.9, Centaury 0.17, RT's FF 45.9.33) I forced WebGL and I was quite surprised that it seems to work. Test pages give the spinning cube. https://get.webgl.org/ https://webglreport.com/ The question is whether stability or any new problems arise. WebGL 1.0 is based on OpenGL ES 2.0 (March 2007). But my OGL 2.0.1 is from February 2006 here. I had thought that I need at least OGL 2.1. Common issue: The browser exe causes an error in NVOpenGL.dll after close. Apparently this error doesn't cause any further problems. You're welcome ! I noticed it tried to connect to gstatic before the end (before the blue background) . By the way , the front page of youtube looks similar , I mean similar choice of videos, as if you were in New York. Did you try it with adblock , also ? One thing to note , I remembered , I had something similar , some time ago with Opera , it crashed upon entering bookmarks or settings . What helped me ? I removed the dreaded framework 4.5.1 . Would be interested to find the culprit in this case too.

Windows 11 found and installed a driver for my Nvidia Quadro 2000 absolutely fine, it's working just as it does on Windows 10.
