  4. A couple of years ago I compiled Mesa 7.5.1 for Windows 95+ which supports OpenGL 2.1 I've attached it here until I upload it to vogonsdrivers: https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?p=614916#p614916

  5. You should really try to get the program working on your host if at all possible, software acceleration is going to be slow. Go here for binaries: http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/wrappers/files/OpenGL/GDI/Mesa/ v6.5 should work on 9x. When these files were tested KernelEx wasn't a thing so it's possible newer versions may work with that. try v7.8.2 or v10.0.02 these work with 2000 so try them with KernelEX Try v17.0.0 this works with XP so try with KernelEX v19.3.1 for Vista but doubtful that will work with KernelEX

  7. The processor is an AMD A4-1200 APU, with 4GB of RAM. It's actually a 64 bit machine, but I'm only intending to install 32 bit operating systems on it. I can't see any great advantage in using a 64 bit OS as the memory can't be physically increased as it's part of the motherboard, not a plugin card. Thanks for the offer, but I'm really not that wedded to having to have XP on this machine, certainly not in a virtual machine. I don't see any point, the only advantage would be to have another XP system to compare with the XP system on my desktop which can help diagnostics it something goes wrong. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter what the second OS is, although I will stick with Windows.

  8. OK the first things that need to be resolved are the Content Security Policy errors. These are generated when an add-on or feature of the browser is specifically blocking a portion of a page. This can be a script blocker, any rules to block domains or types of scripts. Anything that would block cookies, (possibly XSS) or mixed/outside content, privacy settings, etc. You can look up each error to get a hint of where the problem is. The first one is specifically due to the site using frames, but is using an outdated method. This could be because the browser is blocking this use of frames, the browser is too new for the intended purpose or (more likely) the site developer is not using the appropriate coding for the target browser. OR that the browser is picking up a kludge for a specific browser when it isn't supposed to (aka, a compatibility fix, which may be sent erroneously if you are using a custom user agent). Ref: https://superuser.com/questions/1456787/what-does-this-mean-content-security-policy-directive-frame-src-has-been-de You can expand out the info on those other red lines to get more info. You'd need to research each to see if there is anything that can be done only on the client. There is also likely a lot of errors that are not the cause of the problem, and that a site may work fine with them being present. And also, without a full understanding of the page structure, it would be impossible to know which is worth focusing on and which isn't. Especially if this is a remote page and not something you have code access to. BUT, that is why the Content Security Policy errors should be the priority.

  12. I'm giving this a try, since I have my old P4 machine with Windows 98 on it setup, and I've found this forum to work quite nicely on both Opera 12.02 and @roytam1's special Firefox 3.6 build, particularly if I switch the forum theme from "Switch (Default)" to "IPS Default." "Switch (Default)" is usable, but kinda glitchy with the odd layout issues that people here have reported, whereas "IPS Default" renders almost perfectly (although the reply box is broken on Firefox). I tried logging onto eBay.com, which mostly works, but the sign in page is broken, and I can't log on (no loss there, as it probably isn't the wisest thing to do anyway). The main annoyance is that there are random errors in the encryption where a page will not load due to an encryption error, but will load fine if I remove "https://" from the beginning of the URL. But it can't be a hard error (like a missing cipher or some such), because it only happens sometimes. KernelEx-related, maybe? (I'm running straight 4.5.2, if that matters). I wish I could make the forum render somewhat properly on Retrozilla, as I definitely prefer its lightness, and the fact that it's natively Win9x compatible, so no need for KernelEx. Maybe in time, as Retrozilla gets improved, this will be less of a problem. c

  13. No problem. It appears that someone here on the intel support site said that the Windows 7 drivers work.. https://communities.intel.com/thread/30389Although they may only be referring to the chipset drivers. From my testing they do work with modification, but only the chipset and usb 3.0 drivers. The display drivers were the only problem in which case getting a dedicated graphics card would solve the issue. I know of someone that used Vista on an ivy bridge based PC with a GT 610 graphics card and everything worked, so I'm pretty sure that as long as you had a dedicated GPU, everything would work fine. Here's a video of it in action
