  3. This software is for advanced users only as stated in the instructions. I download the compressed archive. I then create a scheduled task for it. The experimental DWMGlass.dll is simply copied to the Aeroglass folder, overwriting the original.

  5. Neat! Snow Leopard is the Mac equivalent of XP (despite being contemporary with 7; both saw their initial RTM releases in mid 2009). Does this work with 45 as well, or is it limited to 38? For late-model PowerPC Macs (Most fast G4s and all G5s), you want to target TenFourFox, whose latest version is forked from Firefox 45 (it lost source parity I think a couple years ago because there were some things that simply weren't portable). I think your script will be very helpful for that, as TFF is fairly decent, but it's configured as one-size-fits-most, so it could use some extra optimization, particularly on faster machines, to reach its full potential (it's extremely good as is, though!) If you could also try testing your script with ArcticFox, that would be useful too, as that is supposed to be a fork of Pale Moon (akin to Roytam1's New Moon, but for early Intel Macs), and thus should be more or less compatible with your script as is, but should be tested for any Mac-specific peculiarities. I can try it out on my Mac, if you like, as I have ArcticFox installed on it. Let's keep up the good work!! c

  6. I've switched to Waterfox(x64) 56.2.12, and on the site where I work, I'm using a Custom User Agent String to make it look like Firefox, in case they have any problem with it. It's FF without the telemetry but with the security updates, and I've kept all my XUL extensions. The extensions have been preserved on several sites. https://www.waterfox.net/releases/ SeaMonkey is also a good substitute.

  7. No, WSUS Offline doesn't download updates for WEPOS, WES09 and POSReady 2009, they don't contain XP in their names. Older WSUS Offline versions downloaded updates for XP Embedded, but these updates were filtered out starting from 9.2.2 build. However, you can still download version 9.2.1 and use it. WSUS Offline downloads current WSUS database, but it also create its own database (which may provide links for third party tools, custom, non-public updates or whatever the developer finds appropriate). It's possible to run the program from Windows 7 and download needed files even when MS start to use only SHA-2 hashes - probably as long as the updates are available in Update Catalog. The program provides static links, so it will be possible to re-download some files ever later, when they are removed from WSUS database and catalog but still exist on download servers.

  8. Feel free to add your own contributions to this thread, and I don’t mind anyone else having edit permissions on this post (maybe doable by mods)? Anyway, got Vista x64 SP1 (and therefore SP2) running perfectly on UEFI and GPT today, on an Dell OptiPlex 390 so feel free to say if any others work Known Working (Official Vista Support) * Dell OptiPlex 390 SFF (reporter: digzu) Known Working (Vendor Unsupported Vista) Known Working (With Workarounds)

  9. ... Dumb question, but has it been verified via Dependency Walker that the new engine file still remains XP incompatible? Engine version 1.1.16000.6 (file mpengine.dll) works OK under Vista SP2, too...
