Adding values under the "Default User" registry key

Recommended Posts

Just add your registry entries as normal from Cmdlines.txt. If you are logged on then you would go to extreme and use an idea that Bendes suggests.

It is also mentioned in the Unattended Guide.

Simply place regtweaks.reg in the same folder where cmdlines.txt exists. That would be: C:\XPCD\$OEM$\All HKEY_CURRENT_USER tweaks imported at this stage will be mapped to the Default User Profile, and any further accounts you create in future will inherit them :-)

Simple.

Mmmm... I thought the sticky topic would help :)

Actually, the HKCU tweaks imported at T-12 modify the Default User account settings, because the Default User's hive is loaded into HKEY_CURRENT_USER at that moment. When a user logs on to a machine for the first time, the user settings are taken from the Default User account. Hence, the HKCU tweaks imported at T-12 apply to all accounts ever created.

Offline PDF version that I use does. The online version is a hit and miss on whether some pages are available.
