This stream auto-updates

  1. Today
  2. It won't work because number of words that need to be listed in "List Box" control exceed the maximum number of items allowed for 9x systems... If you reduce size of "BT-main_01.txt" file (to 32KB i think) it will work.
  3. Thank you very much for this information, erpdude8. Greatly appreciated. For a non-expert like me could you clarify the following: (1) Does this update completely replace the previous versions of KB4474419? (2) Should I uninstall the previous version of this KB4474419 before installing this new one (v3)? (3) If I was rebuilding my system from scratch would it be okay to install this 'v3' version and forget about installing any previous versions that I have before installing the v3?
  4. So you would speculate that MSE 4.10 users running Windows 7 might see a shorter period of nagging before EOL than MSE 4.10 users running Vista did (see MSE For Vista Now Shows XP Nag Screens)? It seems more likely that Microsoft never "upgraded" MSE to extend the EOL time-bomb feature to Windows 7, perhaps in order not to trigger a wave of downgrades to even older MSE versions.
  5. To curb the error-message that you have to cancel or what are you referring to? We already know the current build of Glass8 works fine on 1909, there's just this error message you have to click away because the build isn't whitelisted.
  6. Installing the latest Windows Insider build of Windows 10 SDK might do the trick. It worked for me about a 14 months ago. No guarantees, but, if you cannot wait, up to you.
  7. You can test it also : https://www.ghisler.com/openssl/index.htm
  8. Thank you for your comments Here is the original link: https://hardwarecanucks.com/forum/threads/cant-get-windows-xp-sp2-to-install-to-wd-caviar-black-640-gb-6-gb-s-64-mb-cache.38074/ I asked about it in another forum, since I didnt't knew how active this forum is, can someone please read it and tell me if this guy is right? https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/will-it-work-sata-3-64mb-on-windows-xp.3535900/ anything else that I should be aware of beyond what discussed in the link I addded?
  9. there is a missing guard that prevents devtools scripts from running correctly. as a precaution all UXP builds uploaded today are replaced.
  10. That crisis was resolved quickly, everything back to normal. What was the glitch?
  11. so you're using Serpent builds? for Serpent there is a glitch that is fixed. you may try redownloading.
  12. Definitely lost custom buttons and classic theme restorer so maybe it's related to the UI. Tried creating a new profile and it's impossible to get the menu bar to show. It does temporarily if you hit F10 but not right clicking to make it permanent. Also can't open the Customize pallette so at least for me there's UI problems.
  13. actually today's builds don't come with "great" commits from upstreams, and today's builds are mainly for testing my overhauled packaging script. and for supporting KaiOS development, my (non-BOC) UXP builds comes with WebIDE again.
  14. What happened to this week's UXP build? Everyone of my addons were dead, it's like being in safe mode. They show as being enabled in the addon manager but none work. Can anyone reproduce?

  24. that's correct Vistapocalypse. no EOL notifications for Win7 users yet on MSE 4.10.209, not even on my family's Win7 ultimate pc using the recent Oct. 2019 MSE definitions come back next month in November or December and ask that question then from your first post of this thread
  25. Short answer: The drive will almost certainly work. However, NTFS file system performance won't be optimal unless your partition is "aligned" on a 4K boundary. XP's built-in disk management will try to align the partition on an old-style cylinder/track boundary, which almost certainly won't give you the best performance. But third-party software can align your partition on a 4K boundary. The standard these days is to align partitions on not just a 4K (8-sector) boundary, but a 1MiB (2048-sector) boundary! This seems wasteful, but 1 MiB is such a tiny fraction of a 2 TB drive you won't even notice. Linux's GPartEd will do the job, and you can download a boot image that you can burn to a bootable CD or DVD. If GPartEd isn't to your liking, the free version of EaseUS's Partition Master will also do it.
